Slightly tight but flattering and amazing material!

Really a great pair of snowboarding pants, do tight around the waist but still comfortable band, warm, keeps you dry, and good length!

Best ski pants ever

I got these pants for skiing and I love them. They're comfortably baggy but still cute and warm.

Solid ski and snowboard pant, difficult pockets

This is a solid pant for skiiing. I wear it with one base layer legging and I stayed warm without overheating, but I would probably get away without the base layer in warmer conditions. I can't speak to waterproofing because conditions stayed about freezing and I wasn't sitting in the snow much. I typically wear a size 4 pants and the small fit well with or without leggings. I didn't have much extra room in the hips, but I had no problems with movement/flexibility. My main complaint is the front pockets. They sit fairly high on your hips and aren't very deep (they barely fit an iPhone 7 with a case). This, plus the fact that the zippers are straight across, make them nearly impossible to access and are uncomfortable to store things in while sitting. The design would be improved if the zipper were angled (or sideways) and the pocket were deeper, or if they were lower on the pant. I basically only used the single cargo pocket for things I need to access- so I'd rather have two cargo pockets. The length of the pant is slightly on the longer side, even with the pants high around my natural waist (which I like, but maybe not good for short women).

Great Snowboarding pant!

Awesome pant over all! Zippers on all the pockets, to keep stuff in your pockets! Kind of wish there was a way to tighten the pant around the foot, or attach to my boot. Had a little snow come in my boot. Ski/Snowboard application is best. Not good around boots for snowshoeing.

Good for the price, baggy fit

Overall these pants are good quality for the price, and so far are nice and warm. I have only tested them for short side-country days, but no long backcountry days yet. So far they are nice and toasty with my smartwool unders, and the vents keep me cool enough when skinning. As another commenter said, they are a little on the long side, so I roll them up when not in ski boots. I was also looking for pants that are a little more fitted than these... These would be great if you like to wear LOTS of layers underneath or if you have impressively large leg muscles, but despite my bottom-heavy build (5'6, 125, size small), these are still really baggy -- not just a style issue but as other customers mentioned, it makes it harder to keep them from snagging on things. I need a belt to keep them up over my butt - which is impressive because my behind is quite large! I'm inclined to say an XS would have been better, which would normally be way too tight for my butt & thighs. The green Laurel color is really nice, but a little lighter than I expected so they also seem to stain super easily. I have to tiptoe around when packing gear in and out of my car to avoid getting them totally grody. I like the beacon pocket, but the flaps do seem to get caught frequently. In general, I love the pocket options, and like that they are insulted. I'm able to keep phone, beacon, and energy bars at-hand.

Nice pants, but not durable

I would have to reiterate a few points of the other reviews. These are well-featured pants for lift-accessed skiing and are comfortable in a wide range of conditions and temps. I've skied in all-day rain (Pacific Northwest :) ), and these kept me dry and warm. The beacon pocket is a little too snug for my average-sized beacon, and the flap design needs a little redesign because it constantly gets caught in the zipper. I do like that there are plenty of pockets. The main issue is the lack of durability. I've worn these for less than a full season (probably 15 times out), and there are little holes in the lower legs. The hems with the scuff guards are scraped up and fraying. As far as fit, I am 5'1" and got the XS. It fits everywhere well except for the length. The pants are probably 3" too long for me, and I roll them up when I'm out of my skis.

Great all around ski pants for in bounds and side country

As a pacific Northwesterner, I usually swear by gore-tex bibs. However, I needed a beacon pocket and regular pants-style to work as a ski patroller, and the OR revelation pants don't fit me very well. After one month of wearing these every day, they are full of small holes, and becaus the scuff guards are hardly more durable than the rest of the pants material, they are pretty beer up. However, they actually have been waterproof (I was skeptical!), and they are super comfortable. They have the perfect amount of insulation in just the right spots; I wear smart wool long undies under them and from 12 to 35 degrees my legs have not been too hot or too cold. The little flaps over the zippers are super annoying because they get stuck in the zipper every time. I have to use two hands to open/close my pockets. It's also challenging to get the beacon in and out of the beacon pocket. As far as fit, I'm a size 6 or a medium in all my other OR pants, but in these a small is slightly big around the waist. Also, I'm 5'4" so the 34" inseam is way too long. I have to roll them up when not in ski boots, and when skiing I have to pull them up to click in or they get stuck in my heel binding. All said, for the price they are totally worth it: comfortable, plenty of pockets, and waterproof.

Great Features, Durability So-So

I have a lot of OR gear and love most of it. I actually love these pants feature-wise.The beacon pocket is nice. The fabric has kept me very protected from the elements, from rain to blizzards. The insulation is just right to keep me warm in most conditions. I don't even wear a base layer most of the time, unless it is very cold and windy. The power strap slots on the gaiters is a nice feature, though I usually don't use it. However, the durability has been less than expected. In one season, I have small tears on both legs, even in the gusseted parts. I actually ripped a seam early this season. I talked to OR and they are honoring their infinite guarantee. As far as fit, I am 5'6, around 140, and the medium fits well. Overall the value of these pants is good.

What is the size range for Medium pants? The sizing chart only shows 2, 4, 6,... 14 unlike S, M, or L purchase options. Thanks!

Hi willhaman21, Our ski shells have a more relaxed fit to accommodate layering. A size Medium has a 32" waist, low hip measurement of 42.75", thigh width (two inches from crotch) of 27", calf width of 21.5", and an inseam of 33". Thanks for contacting OR,

can you give me the number equivalent on your size chart for this product? For example is a Small 4 -6 or 6- 8, etc? Thanks.

Hi skigirl, Sorry for the late response. If I'm looking at a the chart correctly, looks like a size XS has a 28" waist which indicates it's has a size 8 waist equivalent, a size Small has a 30" waist which indicates it's a size 12, size Medium has a 32" waist which indicates it's a size 14, size Large has a 35" waist which indicates it's a size 18, and a size XL has a 38" waist which indicates it's a size 20. Thanks for contacting OR, Paul
