Go-to summer hiking pants

The Ferrosi pants are fantastic. I used them on a long trek through a forrested valley and across the alpine. The sun was piercing hot but these pants were the best I have ever had in those conditions. Despite being super light, they also turned out strong when going through trees, over trees and under trees on my knees. And of course, no mosquito can get through. To boot they are now my favourite travel pants on a long haul flight.

Don't waste your time or money on these!

Whoa! OR REALLY messed up this time... The first generation of these pants were phenomenal. However, now the second generation of these pants are missing the crucial items from the first Gen that set these pants apart from their competitors. Cons: - The pants are missing the rear zip pockets, and due to the lightweight material of the pants, your wallet will fall out when you sit down!... Or jumping around outside... And don't even think about keeping it back there for when you're on a bike. - Missing the double stitching - Glue on pocket failed right away - No reinforced knees Did the material change too?! OR, for heavens sake, PLEASE go back to what use to make these pants great.

Very baggy

Waist sizing is way off. Ordered a 32 and it was at least a 34 if not bigger. The wadi rum pants I ordered in 32 fit great. Next time I'd order a 30, pants are nice for hot weather but they are pretty baggy overall.

best pants that I have ever owned

These pants are very comfortable, easy to move in and packable. Great for trail and a casual night out. Great for cold wet days

Great lightweight pant

As a member of a Search & Rescue organization, I'm constantly looking for good technical outerwear. These pants have it handled when it comes to lightweight & comfort. I haven't had the chance to put them through the ringer yet, but am confident they will perform well in warm weather, when shorts just don't cut it.

Fits WAY too large

So disappointed in the Ferrosi pants and shorts. They are supposed to fit true to size but not even close. Measured flat, they are 17.25" across and a 34.5" waist. My waist is 32" and typically size 32 pants still fit large due to companies not going true to size. I typically have to size down one size to a 31. However, OR even confirmed by "Kassie" in the Discussions section of the Ferrosi 10" shorts: Q: My waist measures pretty much exactly 32". Should I order the size 31 or 32? I want these to fit well without a belt, and I find that most size 32 pants and shorts are more like 33" or greater. In Prana for example, size 31 fits my waist perfectly, and 32 is way too loose. So I'm leaning towards ordering the 31, but would appreciate some confirmation! Asked on 5/26/2019 by Dan from NY Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer CUSTOMER CARE A: our ferrosi shorts are true to list size and don't run large as most companies do, you should be good to go with the 32! Answered on 6/5/2019 by Kassie from Outdoor Research Not the case here! I can fit my fist between my stomach and the waist of the pants!

These will be a staple for me in the summer.

These are the perfect pants in the summer. Super flexible and lightweight all while looking more professional than jeans.

Very comfortable pants

The pants are extremely comfortable. I like the casual look to them. The front pockets are plenty deep and the zipper side pocket is convenient. My complaint with the pants is how they are only available in 32" inseam. I got super excited when these arrived in the mail and I clipped the tags before putting them on. I'm 5"8/5"9 and the 32" inseam makes the pants too long to wear. The bottom cuff is narrow enough to where the pants won't hang down past your hiking boots, but it still leaves A LOT of fabric bunched up at the bottom near the ankles. I have to roll the pant legs and just wear them around the house because of how long they are.
