great gloves, thumb is weird shaped tho

Great everything besides the fingers are slightly long and the thumb is constructed strange. I wear XL in the Vert gloves so I bought these in XL and the fingers are a little too long. but I still recommend them.

Great for jobs in the desert

Good times- bought two

These are my second skin, protecting from (hot/cold) contact injuries throughout the winter months. Eat, sleep, work, drive, ... They're likely on. While not designed as a base layer, they're minimal design allows them to fit well inside my mitten systems

best utility glove I've ever owned

These gloves fit snuggly, have solid grip and promise to be durable. The fact they are nomex and Kevlar means I can were them on duty and not worry about them melting to my hands if I grab something hot or it catches on fire. I already used them at 2 accident scenes, pulling a a truck apart to reach the patient and to wrestle a front end to get at a sparking electrical connection. Highly recommend these gloves

Almost The Ideal Glove For Wildland Fire

After years of firefighting I found this glove to fit most of the things I was looking for in a work glove. Leather palms/ fingers on the inside of the hand, breathable Nomex on the back, snug fit, and the cuff Velcro's down. I ordered them online, when I first tried them on the first thing I noticed was the thumbs were a bit long, maybe just a personal issue but it was the first thing I noticed. Other than that the overall fit was great. I was really excited to put them through the ringer and see how they held up. After a few weeks of running a chainsaw, operating a drip torch, and swamping brush I started to notice that the leather was showing some wear. Mostly from swamping brush. It became clear that they were designed as specified, a combat glove, meant for dexterity and to be flame resistant, not necessarily for hard labor. The suppleness and dexterity comes from the thinner leather. All that being said the comfort is there and I love wearing them, I just don't think they will last very long under heavy work conditions. But until I find something that is better suited, I'll be looking to get another pair when these ones wear out!

feel greasy and they have a weird smell to them

Great gloves

Good, not great

These gloves were on a pretty good sale and I still needed to return them. The fit was really bizarre. I read other reviews where guys said that they usually wear a size XL but needed an XXL in these. So I ordered the XXL and they fit about as well as they could except that the pinky finger was super long. Never thought I had exceptionally short pinkies but now I'm self conscious. These were on closeout because I think they updated the glove. Maybe they addressed the pinky thing with the new gloves. Another issue is that these gloves feel pretty thin in the palm and fingers. I can't imagine that they would have lasted more than a season of regular use (i.e. shooting, chopping wood, whatever). I'll stick with my dime-a-dozen CLC gloves for now.

I would consider these gloves again

I like the overall fit of these gloves with the exception of how it fits around my wrist and the cost. I would not have purchased them if they had not been on sale. These gloves have a common finger stitch design which affects dexterity a little but not enough to matter to most people. The majority of tactical gloves have the same issue. I have an older pair of Hatch gloves that are tight around my wrist, and have better dexterity in the fingers, however they have several cons as well and I don't believe they are made any more. At the time of this review I have only worn these gloves for some trail hiking and have not worn them to work.
