- Excellent Glove so far (Review by Jay)
Only limited testing with bike commuting and ski touring in very cold temps. They worked very well in -25C bike commuting. Not toasty, but kept the uncomfortable cold away. This is actually perfect as it makes it impossible to sweat at temperatures where you really, really don't want to sweat.
I also used them on a -33C (-42C with windchill) day for 8 hrs of ski touring. They were awesome. Again, they weren't like a hot tub for my hands, but this was a good thing. The batteries lasted as I only needed to use them on high for a few minutes to boost my warmth. I had the heat completely off for a lot of it.
Gloves are very stiff but break in nicely after several uses.
I found that there is a lot of room in the fingers so if you have wider fingers this would be a great glove. I just use a thin liner and it gives me a better feel and better dexterity to the glove.
The gauntlet is a bit wider than the lucents so it fits nicely over many layers. (It could actually be a touch wider as it can push the glove off the hand a touch if you're really layered up.) As well the gauntlet cinch adds a ton of warmth.
Single charger sucks bc you can't charge everything at once. However, I contacted OR and they are sending me a free charger so i can. Awesome!!
One more small gripe. I would have liked the heat to come right to the fingertips, but it stops just short.
Overall, this is a great glove for very cold conditions. Don't expect a sauna, but expect to stave away frostbite for sure.
