- A must have layer (Review by Amy)
I used this hoody guiding in the beating sun all summer, staying cool while also protecting my neck from the sun while belaying and climbing. I run in it, hike, bike, even use it as a layer under my ski gear. Its comfy, functional, and probably my favorite do-it-all layer. It also fits true to size, something that is hard to find as a lady!

- Perfect backpacking and river shirt (Review by Kate)
I run whitewater and alpine and desert backpacking expeditions for a living. This is my go to shirt for all three scenarios. It is lightweight, breathable, and provides amazing sun protection. It also dries quick so I don't get a chill. I LOVE the pony tail hole. Other sun hoodies don't have this function and I end up with a sweaty mass of hair on my neck.
Two things to improve the design: longer sleeves so I can actually use the sun mitt function, and a button at the neck to close the hood so there is even more sun protection.

- PCT Workhorse (Review by Tami)
I used the Echo Hoody as my sun shirt on the Pacific Crest Trail. It is incredibly lightweight, durable, and comfortable for long days as a thru hiker. I would pull the hood up and put my hat on for perfect protection from the desert sun. I love the ponytail opening in the hood. The hand protectors were a major bonus for both sun protection and cool early mornings in the Sierras and North Cascades. I'm planning on doing the Hayduke Trail spring 2017 so will once again be rocking the Echo Hoody as my main shirt in the desert heat and exposed environment. We'll see if after over 3,300 trail miles if this shirt will finally need to be replaced...so far, so good! Thanks OR!

- Bad color choice... (Review by AmyB)
I bought this when there was one color choice available at my size. I wish I'd waited. DO NOT buy this in light colors. Stains do not come out.
Functionally, it's awesome. I like the mitts and appreciate the ponytail hole in hood.
But DO NOT buy the alloy color. It's like an off-white shirt that you can't make come back to color again.

- super functional but sleeves are short (Review by culvie26)
I love this sun hoody! I wear it guiding on the water, spring/summer/fall hikes and Trail runs, guiding in the mountains and just out and about to keep myself out of the sun. The hood Covers up nicely and fits over a hat or helmet. the material is light and dries quickly from sweat or water. my only compliant is that the sleeves are too short... I am a Size small, (the medium was WAY too big) and the sleeves early come to my wrists, so there would be no way I could put the cuffs over my hands if i needed.... I just got back from a 7 day float trip in the Bob Marshall wilderness (Montana) and I wore this shirt every day! It is a must have for sun protection!

- Comfy and cute (Review by kimmiekins)
I love this shirt. It is my go to shirt for hiking and hanging around at camp. Great protection from the sun and is light weight. Nice technical piece. I bought the Echo in short sleeve, long sleeve, and hoody because I liked it so much.

- Love it! (Review by Lex)
This is perfect as a sun shirt, and great for wearing during field work. It is so light you barely feel like you have it on. I've worn it in warm weather and not overheated, but it is also a great layer when it is a little chilly or breezy. I love the little pocket on the side - it fits a large cell phone, or also I often put pencils and markers in it when I'm doing field work. I wish it had thumb holes instead of the mitts, but that is my only complaint.

- best long sleeved for warm weather (Review by PlayOutsideMama)
This is the lightest long sleeved shirt I own. I love the fit. It is not tight, but flattering. I wear it mostly in the summer and throw it in my pack for those days I might want a long sleeved. I like that I can wear it for sun protection. Excellent!

- Saved me a ton of pain! (Review by cdeckro)
I just had to review this hoody. I was reluctant to get a long sleeve shirt to wear out hiking because I'm one of those ladies that very easily overheats but I knew we were heading up on the snowfield on a sunny day and that Id need all the protection from the sun I could get. This shirt worked amazingly well. I did not overheat, it dried so fast and while my face and neck, which even though they were slathered with sunscreen got burnt, my arms and the back of my neck stayed safe. I can't imagine how much pain I would have been in had I not had this shirt. My only wish maybe would be that it wasn't a v-neck so it could have protected my neck and chest a bit more. Love this hoody and cant wait to use it on future adventures.

- Women's Echo Hoody (Review by By skidiva)
I love this sun hoody! Its comfortable, light weight, breathable, and quick drying. I use this while guiding in the Tetons all spring and summer long. And as one whom is fair skinned, it is great sun protection all day long! I have also taken this hoody to the beach for sun protection, and on trail runs where its a little too cold for a short sleave shirt, or if I want extra UV protection. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for sun protection and/or a light weight technical layer that you can do so many things in.
