PERFECT gloves! Exactly what I was looking for!

Great design/functionality, esp. with the cinch componentry for the gauntlet (easy push/pull open mechanism vs. others I've experienced).

I would buy this product again.

I recently use these gloves while skiing in fridgid temperatures and they kept my hands dry and warm

Good gloves, but I think I'm cursed

I got the Couloir glove after I had a problem with the Southback gloves I bought from OR. The Southbacks failed only after a couple of days of use. One of the little plastic pieces that holds the ends of the elastics that run through the cuff of the gauntlet and which is meant to be pulled to tighten the gauntlet broke off when I pulled on it. OR gave me a refund on the Southbacks and I got the Couloirs. Now, after only after a few days of use, the Couloirs seem to have wear/a small rip on the area where the soft material on the thumb meets the heavier material. Check out my picture. The Couloirs aren't going to hold up, I fear. This happened after no more than 5 uses. Now I'm thinking it's time to invest in a pair of Hestras. Just to be clear, OR makes great products; I have a whiteroom jacket and the off-chute pants. Couldn't be happier with those. The gloves aren't cutting it, or I'm just cursed.

My ski partner bought a pair of gloves from Columbia on sale. By noon we had to go back to the lodge so he could warm up his hands they hurt. It's money well spent to buy a great pair of gloves and these OR gloves were just that. Thank you OR

A much needed upgrade

I upgraded from the Southback gloves to these and what a difference! The gauntlet is a must for those that like to find those powder stashes. These are very warm even in negative temperatures. They don't breathe the best, but I would rather have warm hands than hands that breathe. These don't have the best dexterity, but that's only bad if you are constantly taking selfies on the mountain.

a versatile backcountry ski glove

These are perfect for normal backcountry use. I wouldn't bring them if you are going to be in mutliday hard core mountain snow weather, but for a fun day in the backcountry they hit the spot.

Awesome gloves!

Such high quality.,. the goats' leather palm is especially appreciated!

Great glove!

My second pair! I like the roominess (I wear large but buy an Xlg) and the warmth. Excellent back country and In area glove.

What would be the temperature rating in Fahrenheit for this glove? Not a skier, just a hiker who lives in the U.P. of Michigan and who hikes year round. Thanks. Jay

Hi Jaybird0930, We don't have a termperature rating, but have a (subjective) Comfort Range for the gloves. The gloves are comfort rated for -15 F/15 F (-26 C/-9 C). They are warm, durable, and can be used for alpine activities. Thanks for contacting OR,
