I love these gloves!!!! Worth every penny.

The size x-small fits very well for a small female. I ordered the small and had to exchange them for an x-small. I am 5.4 and weight about 120. The gloves are easy to use. The red, yellow, green to indicate heat level is intuitive. The glove are a bit heavy but once on I don't notice the weight. I use them every weekend for downhill skiing. My fingers are never cold and I typically use the green (low) setting. I can get three full days of skiing out of single battery charge on the green (low) setting. These gloves are worth every penny. If your fingers get cold they are a must have. I LOVE the gloves!!!

Great gloves, but no heat to right ring and pinky fingers

I work all over Alaska from temps that are -45F at Fairbanks, -55F in Bethel (windchill applied), and a humid 0F in Anchorage. When in high-temp (red) mode the gloves provide an enormous amount of heat, and despite 30kt winds and bone-crushing cold will keep your hands from freezing up. They won't warm - nothing is at those temps - but your fingers and hands won't hurt or go numb. Combined with the impressive dexterity these gloves have which allow me to open small latches on the aircraft as well as write notes, these heated gloves are absolutely worth the money. However, I am having an issue with no heat being produced to the right hand ring and index fingers. I've used them twice and thought it might have just been user error or my own sensation issue. But sadly there is a manufacturing defect with them. I've contacted support to determine how to repair them. I definitely want to keep these gloves!

No Turning Back...

I was in an accident that resulted in a severed radial artery and digital nerve. My surgeon told me that snow sports were a no go for me, because my thumb couldn't keep warm enough which would risk me losing it. I was crushed. I find happiness in recreating outside both in adverse and fair weather conditions. These gloves have made it possible for me to play outside in the winter and I am forever grateful. I've tested these in temps as low as 5F and still have a thumb. Backcountry or at a resort, these are the gloves.

Great Glove...Battery life way below expectations

I bought these last winter and used them quite a bit. I love how effective the heat is at keeping my fingers warm even on cold days. The control is pretty easy to use. The glove has an amazing fit and is really durable. The down side to these gloves is that I can only get about 2-3 hours when the power is on the medium and only about 1 hour if it is on high. My fingers get really cold easily so I use the medium and high setting quite a bit. The low setting doesn't do much for me on cold days but I need to use it to conserve battery life. I will likely have to get another battery, but for the cost, I was hoping the dual battery would be plenty for a full ski day (as it was advertised).

Heated gloves for EXTREME cold!

These things are amazing. When I'm outside the things that get cold first are my ears and my fingertips. Any old had will do for the ears, but I've never found a good solution that will "save" my fingers once they've gotten cold - I have to go indoors and warm them up. Now, I can avoid that - these are big, comfortable gauntlet-style gloves that do a good job of keeping my hands/fingers warm with just their regular insulation. When my hands have gotten extremely cold, either due to extreme conditions (I live/work in Antarctica) or because I've had to remove my gloves to do something that requires more dexterity, I can fire up the heaters in the Capstone gloves and they're able to return sensation, circulation, dexterity and comfort to my frozen-feeling fingers. They work with touch-screens (although some screens don't like to work in the cold that these gloves thrive in). If I had one beef, it would be that the supplied charger (x1) will only charge two batteries at one time. The gloves take two batteries EACH at one time, so in order to charge a full pair of gloves, you would need a second charger (not provided, but available as an additional purchase). These gloves should have come with t a second charger.

The Holy Grail of COLD

I'm 65 years old and at work, they call me the Freezer man! I work in a freezer at -30 with 8 huge fans running all the time. Believe me, it's not funny in there especially that I have to manipulate semi-delicate stuff and use a scanner... i never thought there could be something out there to keep my hands and fingers warm and comfortable for the 2 1/2 hours in a row that I have to spend in there per day. Well I was really wrong. Going for gold, I purchased a pair of Capstone gloves and on my son's head, when I exit that frozen hell after 2 1/2 hours, my hands and fingers are still warm. Couldn't have asked for more. Those gloves are the Holy Grail of COLD. To top it off, their infinite warranty and their outstanding customer service (I had a problem and they fixed it promptly with resptect), would make me invest in that company if I was rich. Come on, its expensive but so worth it and you will never regret it. The haze you will see in the picture is caused by the fans blowing hell to keep the temperature at -30. Long live Outdoor Research, Long live Capstone gloves. If you're not convinced after that, well just go buy a cheap brand and freeze!!! You were warned.....

Love these gloves!

I've used these gloves for the entire 17/18 ski season. 55 ski days and counting. Even on the coldest days (high of 5) they work great. On really cold days I turn them on high for 2-3 minutes to warm up my hands the set it back to medium. Since the high setting really heats quickly my hands are nice and warm when I get off the lift. Batteries have lasted over 5 hours. Only negative I had to get a replacement battery, but the warranty service was quick and easy.

Lowest setting can't be felt in extreme cold but presumably is a net positive. Highest setting great for a quick warm up of frozen hands. These gloves are fun to wear at night because of bright led light for the heat setting (think Star Wars - although good for nighttime biking visibility I suppose). But I found this valuable in daytime skiing in bright sun. These gloves do what they were designed to do. Satisfied. Also, charger now charges four batteries at once.

I have worn the Capstone glove 8 times, for 4-5 hour periods downhill skiing, in temperature from the mid teens to the mid 20's. For me, the fit, grip and apparent quality is very good. The warmth on the thumb and back of hand is very good, but I would like to have greater warmth on the finger joints and tips. It is a very good glove and my criticism is simply my opinion.

Do these heat both sides of fingers

Hi David, The heating element is on top of the fingers. The design and concept behind placing the heating elements on top of the fingers is to warm up the blood in the blood vessels and circulate warm blood throughout the hands and fingers. Thanks for contacting OR,

Do these gloves come with two battery packs per glove, and can you charge all four batteries at the same time with one charger?

Hi Frank, These gloves come with two batteries per glove. The current charger charges two at a time. Thanks for contacting OR,
