RATING AND REVIEWS

They are Ok

The mittens are warm. The thumb feels a little short and I am not a fan of the oddly textured, crinkley material on the underside of my fingers

Very warm but uncomfortable to wear

These mitts are very warm however I found they're a little uncomfortable to wear as the liner isn't attached super well to the down layer. I feel like I'm sliding around a lot in there. It's as though if I move my hand too much it gets tangled up and twisted (similar to a down duvet I suppose!). That being said, I purchased these to sit and study caribou on the tundra and they worked well for that! As a lady, I would recommend going a size down that your normal glove size. I think if the fit was tighter there would be less sliding.

These are great - along with all the products of the Trancendent Line. They fit perfectly under the Alti outer shell mitts. I love how light and small they can be - in terms of throwing in a running/skiing pack. Often, I'll just have a thin glove while active, but want an emergency layer on my hands for when I stop, or if I got into trouble in the backcountry. OR - two suggestions: 1) the mitt fit is a little narrow. Maybe this is so it can fit under an outer waterproof mitt. 2) Most of the glove is super warm, but on the outside edge, the stitching compresses, prevents the down from keeping that part of your hand warm. Not a big deal under a outer layer, but if you are using it by yourself you'll dump a lot of heat out the side.

It's warm, even at -30C Montreal winter!

5

Love the warmth even in extreme Montreal winters of -30C! The colour is eye catching and received complements! Just don't know how durable the grip is. Overall, great price to value proposition!

Keeps my always cold hands warm!

5

My hands are always cold when it gets below 30 degrees...these keep my hands warm! They are a bit bulky, but for hiking and hanging out in base camp, they are great!

So warm

They are definitely warm! But i find the thin liner moves around a lot so does my hand inside the mitt and the thumb is easy to lose when i take the mitts off then its a pain to try to get it back in its spot. Very comfy and stylish. I like them

Perfect mitt for sub-zero temps

5

I have poor circulation in my hands and used these puppies today during -40°F temps -- my hands were sweating. From someone who lives is WI and hates being cold, I can't reccomend these enough. Perfect for anything from running errands to winter camping.

Fireplace for your Hands!!!

These mittens are not work mittens. I say that as they are not mittens you should rock when climbing, skinning, running, etc. They are just too warm. They are perfect for static activity, on a bike, dirt bike, quad, snowmobile, around camp, and defiantly amazing to sleep in on cold nights. The down is amazing at keeping your heat in. Recommendations: a passive hand warmer to "start that fire place" is super helpful with cold hands. The mittens are super light and compressible, if you have the hat; I recommend putting the mittens in the hat and compress all 3 together. Last recommendation; pack these as your back up to your work gloves/mittens. they are so light and small you will only notice them when your hands are warm! Only down side: the space inside the mittens is minimal. This is good as you will warm up the 4 finger pocket quickly. It's a little tight if you have really big hands. In no way is this a show stopper. I have large hands (size 11) and rock the L/XL. They fit... just with minimal space.

How to measure

Measure around a flat hand at the knuckles,do not include your thumb. Also measure your hand length from the base of your palm to the end of your middle finger. Use the larger of the two measurements to select your glove size.
