RATING AND REVIEWS

Durability tested over ski season

3

I work as a professional ski instructor and wore these gloves everyday for work. For most of the winter season they held up to the conditions and kept my hands warm. However, the gloves began to break down around the seams at the end of February and I am disappointed that I will now have to find another pair of ski gloves for next winter.

excellent gloves for high altitude use

have used this glove for a season now, and absolutely love it. just enough insulation to keep you warm even in high altitude extreme environments, with very little bulk. good dexterity. sensor compatible. has kept my hands warm in everything i have thrown at them, the only time i felt a tiny bit of cold was holding still for an extended period at elevation in a quite chilly snowstorm (i have an injured finger that is mostly scar tissue and has poor circulation, so not exactly your average hand. my other hand was fine). If you are looking for a backcountry glove that can just about do it all, this is it. even the retention lanyard is comfortable. great glove for any medium to high output activity, such as hiking, skiing, ice climbing, etc.

Solid winter glove

These are solid insulation gloves. They feel tough and durable, and are decently warm for the cold, bitter Chicago temperature. I wish the dexterity was a bit better/they weren't as bulky, although they're not bad in this department. I also wish they were a little warmer, but I guess a sweet spot had to be chosen to balance the insulation/bulkiness. Around 20 degree F, I kind of still need to use my hand warmer pockets to keep my fingers warm. To be fair, my hands just tend to run cold though.

Awesome gloves

I used them so far for ice climbing in the Canadian Rockies, very comfortable and allows for good grip. Very warm. Only thing is when you try to take it off , the fleece from inside tends to invert and come out which could potentially make it difficult to put them back on. Very happy otherwise. Can't say anything about durability yet.

Fits like a glove.

I've had trouble finding a glove that was small enough and didn't have extra material at the ends of the fingers. This one fits perfectly which allows me to handle ice screws and draws more easily. These gloves are also warm enough for climbing on cold New England days.

Very happy with my first OR gloves. I have worn them downhill skiing a few times now and super stoked on their fit and warmth for how lightweight they are. Fit perfectly under my ski jacket. Overall, I am stoked. Can't speak to how long they will hold up, but hopefully they do.

At first I was looking for gloves like the Lodestar but waterproof, but they do not have the same fit and grip. They are great gloves, i will use it on colder days.

How to measure

Measure around a flat hand at the knuckles,do not include your thumb. Also measure your hand length from the base of your palm to the end of your middle finger. Use the larger of the two measurements to select your glove size.
