RATING AND REVIEWS

Very warm mittens

5

For high camp in very cold weather. Really warm and comfortable, and versatile with the liners. The liners have some grippy material and are touchscreen compatible, because of this I feel they are almost as good as liner gloves. As someone who has never owned mittens and used gloves my whole life, these mittens have converted me!

Super warm Mit

Bought these for really cold days skiing, 22 and lower. They are very warm and if you put a hand warmer in them they are over the top warm. Love that the fingers are all together and it is very easy to pull your thumb into the mix when needed.

Needed a mit for those high 20's - mid 30's. They fit the bill.

Go to gloves for winter mountaineering when very cold!

Mit liners inside warm mittens. Very warm but I prefer glove liners. feels small for a large. Why do they need a lanyard attached? Rugged, light and very warm!

I LOVE these!

These mittens are AMAZING. Forget tested in Alaska, I wear these in North Dakota. Moving to NODAK from Arizona has been hard. I have never seen weather like this. Its windy every day and I drive to work in -24 degree Fahrenheit, easy -45 with wind during the afternoon. Definilty a horrible environment. These mitts are warm and windproof and fit great. I will order another pair just to keep in my wifes car. I am VERY glad I bought these mitts. Another excellent product from OR. Thank you guys!

Awesome engineering

I have had these for two years now through many miles and up many mountains. They still look like new. When my light gloves fail and my hands are freezing, it is easy to slide stiff wet fingers into these mitts to warm up fast. I really like the screen-compatible liner and leash combo. On cold windy days I can slip the shell off, take a summit picture for somebody, then slip the shell back on. No hassles, no lost mittens, no frozen hands. They stay dry and warm even on wet days. I don't climb in the winter without these in my pack. The first pair that I bought had a small hidden defect that caused a 1/2" section of a seam to fail. The OR folks sent me a new pair right away and they have been perfect. Even the best of companies will mess up a seam some time, but OR can be counted on to make it right and get you back on the mountain. I have a bunch of OR equipment and this was the only time there has ever been a flaw or any kind. They fixed it with no hassle or fuss. They stand behind their gear.

Chicago Winter Wear

My hands get cold really easily, I'm talking 50-degree weather and under. I've really struggled to find any gloves that can keep my hands warm. I've even tried heated gloves. So far, into early December, these have been great. I'm looking forward to seeing how they hold up through the rest of winter.

Excellent Mitts!

I have an extensive collection of OR gloves. I wanted to explore mittens, as my hands get cold sitting around. I didn't have any expectations of these, and I am very impressed. They are warm and cozy. One of the best things of them is they are easy to take on and off.

How to measure

Measure around a flat hand at the knuckles,do not include your thumb. Also measure your hand length from the base of your palm to the end of your middle finger. Use the larger of the two measurements to select your glove size.
