RATING AND REVIEWS

Perfect emergency layer

5

Great down jacket. Perfect emergency layer, super warm and lightweight. I'm 5'10", ~33" waist and ~40" hips. I usually go for M but since this is an "over" piece, I went for L and it's perfect.

Love it!

Going snow shoeing and pulking for four days and three nights on the Manistee River Trail tomorrow! This replaces my old Golite 800+ down jacket. If I get some good pictures I'll try and send you some. I love your stuff. I have your transcendent down mitts and got your transcendent hat and down mitts for my SO as well. The absolute biggest thing for me is IT FITS! I am 6'4" and have long arms. It is extremely hard for me to find down jackets with long enough arms. Thank you! Winter adventure is my thing and this will be my goto jacket for Fatbike Touring, snowshoeing, winter hammocking, xc skiing, winter hiking and camping. Thanks again! I love your stuff.

Quality Parka

5

This parka delivers as advertised. Very lightweight for the amount of insulation you get, nicely cut for a tall lanky dudes (76"/175lbs), and high quality down to compress into nothing. You can definitely tell where the lightweight nature comes from--the shell material feels very thin. Time will tell if that equates to any durability issues.

I love my incandescent jacket!

5

I love this jacket, it has been exceptionally warm during some cold conditions. I also love how lightweight it is, makes bringing it on cold trips a no brainer. It is a little "fragile" but I attribute that to the lightweight design rather than a flaw. As long as you are somewhat gentle with it, it will hold up. I have the pewter color and you can see the down through the outer fabric, not that this is an issue, just a comment. I doubt this would be the case for the black or Baltic versions though.

Super Warm, Super Light - Not very durable

4

This jacket is excellent for fast and light alpine missions. The fabric seems to shed a small amount of moisture fairly well, although it gets some wet spots after continued exposure. I am pretty concerned about its durability, having put a few small holes in one of the sleeves already, but am curious how the jacket holds up long term. Pros: -Super Warm -Super light -Compressible -Climbing compatible features (Hood fit, two-way zipper, hemm drawcord) Cons: -Zipper can be a bit finicky -No internal glove pockets -Fabric is not very durable

Sold all my other puffys!

The warmest thing I've ever owned by far! As long as you run it through the drier every now and then this thing has an unreal amount of loft for its weight and compressibility. It cuts out all the wind, and the hood is adjustable enough that you can cinch it over your scalp or over a climbing helmet no problem. I've worn this just milling about at around -5F waiting for the northern lights (they never came...) and had to unzip a little bit to let some heat out. The outer shell fabric is really light, which aids in weight and compression, but seems like it could tear easily so I'd pack it away when moving through any wooded terrain. I'm 6'1", 200lbs, athletic build (self proclaimed), and the large fits perfectly either as a stand alone or over a shell with midweight for use on belay.

Light weight

4

Nice light weight jacket. I would like if it stuffed into its own pocket with a double sided zipper. Almost does but not quite. The keychain connector should be stretchy material it's hard to get to my keys once attached. The material on the sleeve cuffs sticks to the Velcro of my gloves. It could be Velcro friendly. I'd prefer another inch in length but that's debatable. It is supper light and packable. Instant warmth. I look forward to wearing it out and havin it keep me warm in the high country.

Fluff For Days

4

A super fluffy and warm jacket. The benefit of the huge baffles being that you stay mega toasty for longer. The down side is that the down is prone to shifting around the baffles, and you may have to move it around a fair bit (especially around the inner elbows). Great for all cold weather activities. A perfect heavy layer under a shell.
