I'd buy this again

These pants are extremely comfortable, my only complaint is the length of the legs.

Least durable pants I have owned.

1 year out from buying these. I did not wear them many times. I wore them mostly last summer, and switched to warmer pants during fall through this spring. I only wore them on 1 climb this year before retiring them. They starting pilling only after a few washes. But that wasnt too big of a deal to me. The bigger deal is that they started to become rubbed and thinned after only a handful of climbs. At this point, they are barely wearable. They have tons of dirt stains that wont come out, many small holes, and large sections of the fabric is rubbed and damaged. I have never owned a pair of pants that are less durable.

Not the Ferrosi pants of old

If it isn't broken, don't fix it. The original Ferrosi pants were an excellent design, which is what I thought I was ordering. Unfortunately, the new redesign is reduced version of the original under the same name. Gone are the reinforced knees and double stitched seams throughout. The material feels lighter and less durable and the elastic waist on the original pant has been replaced with belt loops (which don't really work on a pant this light). On the plus side the button has been improved. In general, the trend towards lighter materials and less stitching is leading to products that don't hold up as well as the original versions. Consequently, it feels like a bait and switch when you get them. Similar things have happened in the past to the deadpoint pant which used to be a bullet proof, flexible, comfortable pant made of durable material, reinforced knees, butt and stitching. It was reduced down to a less durable version under the same name, then discontinued. I understand the need to change things up to keep with current styles, however, there should be consistency with a products quality across its run.

Great Pants

Very comfortable, I got the 32's and I am 5 ft 10 in and they were a little long.

new ones a poor substitute for old design

I have a old pair ( about four years old) and they are way better. New ones have too tight a fit around the leg /quads (even though its the exact same size), new ones are thinner material ie weaker, back pockets no longer have zippers, over all still a good pant but sad to see a great pair of pants get cheaper and less amazing...

Great pants

I love these pants! I have two pairs and recently used them for travel in South Korea during some rainy and windy conditions and I am very impressed with their DWR feature! I didn't get wet or feel clammy at all and we were walking in some pretty heavy rain. My Friend's "other" brand pants started seeping water in half way through our walk and he asked me what pants I had and I told him and he said that he'd order some as soon as he could. Paired with the OR Foray jacket I couldn't have been more comfortable during that trip!

Allover, the world

Bring back the zipper back pockets.

I like how the cuff drawstrings were removed but do not like that the rear pocket zippers were also removed. I will not be buying another pair with out the rear zippers. Other than that I have multiple pairs of the older version and wish I had a pair for every day.

This product has been pretty awesome so far. I work for a large agency in the mid south and it gets pretty humid and sticky. Range days are a lot cooler with these pants. As far as durability, we will see. Sizing isn't too big of an issue, but if you have an athletic build, maybe size up for thigh room.

So far do good

Used these on my first trad lead climb. Loved these pants, they provided great mobility for high stepping and felt strong rubbing against rock.

I like these pants.

Very light weight and comfortable
