These pants dig climbs that take them a few hundred feet off the deck. The tough but stretchy, breathable but wind-resistant Ferrosi fabric stays cool during long approach hikes, moves with you while talus wrangling and high-stepping on the sharp end, and blocks wind during long hours of belaying up high.

Sizing note: We have updated the fit of our popular Ferrosi Pants to be true to size. Compared to our previous fit, this is one size smaller than it was in the past.

RATING AND REVIEWS

I like them, but the quality is low

These pants are comfy and versatile, for sure. But... I have some concerns about quality. Right out of the box I noticed that the stitching on my particular pair of pants was not very even, but I thought, whatever I'll still wear them. Then on the first outing the waist button came off and got lost (waiting on RA# from OR). So... I'm hoping that I just got a faulty pair and the replacement will be of higher quality. My wife ordered a pair of Women's Ferrosi Pants at the same time that I ordered these, and her pants don't seem to have any defects. Hopefully this is not a sign of changes in OR's manufacturing/quality control, cause that'd be sad.

Comfortable and quick drying, but stitching quality is poor

Unfortunately after less than 3 days of use, I noticed threads in the crotch area starting to fray, and I will have to sew them. They are very comfortable, however, for the price, I expect higher quality and more durability's

New Favorite Pant

Love these things. I've used them for fishing, hiking, and just casual wear. They stretch well and dry very fast. Being 6-3 it's tough to find pants that are long enough, and these ones fit perfectly!

I will buy this product again.

Once I tried these pants on I didn't want to take them off. I wore them traveling to the North Shore of Lake Superior, then on two hikes along the shore. Just left them on to go out for dinner. Lightweight, extremely comfortable. I'm going to order more in other colors.

Soft and stretchy, but not without problems

A few problems with this purchase. First, the size is too large. I had to send the first pair back and then order one size smaller than I typically order in men's pants. Second, the button at the front popped off the first time I wore the pants and it landed in the urinal. Needless to say, I didn't retrieve it, and am now headed to the sewing store to buy a new button. The pants are comfortable and stylist, but very stretchy. I put my phone in the side cargo pocket and it leaned out due to the stretchy fabric. Once I get the button fixed, I'll probably wear these pants occasionally, but they'll never be my favorites.

Awesome Pants

I have the original Ferrosi pants and loved them but they were too short for my 6"1' height. These are perfect! They are thin, breathe well and are very stretchy. I love and live in them. I bought two pairs and use them excessively. Great pants just wish the tiny zippered pocket on the leg was bigger.

MY FAVORITE PANTS OF ALL TIME!

THESE PANTS! Where have they been all my life? I bought them in all 3 colors and may re-order them all again because I just love the way they feel and look. SO comfortable.

Tough craggin pants

The Ferrosi pants have really set a new standard for me. Within a month of owning them(the previous model) they became the first thing I packed for weekend trips and often were worn both days. I climbed over 40 weekends last year, probably 80% of those climbs were in these pants and they only have one very very small sign of wear on the right side pocket where my phone sits. The fit is perfect, the stretch and range of motion they give is excellent and the durability is amazing. New model improvements - Back pockets on right and left side now, slightly lighter feeling and more breathable New model cons - my favorite right knee pocket is now too small to fit my phone in, making it tough to carry with my harness on. This is a critical feature for me as I want my phone on me and easily accessible while climbing. Sizing- I'm 6'0" 182, my street size is 32x34, I bought these in a 32 long. They are slightly loose at the waist but do not fall down without a belt. The trim allows for good flexibility and movement. The long version is noticeably longer then the standard version and I don't think my socks ever show now, even on really high steps. Bottom line these are a great pair of pants for rock climbing.
