Warm, comfortable, zero complaints, buy them if you want warm hands

The warmest!!

Already had one pair I shared with my wife. This second pair ensures I have my own. I have found no flaws In These mitts after over a year. Tough and warm.

Boone, North Carolina

Bought these gloves and a pair of mitts in a size LARGE. The mitts have plenty of room to wear liners. These gloves are snug without liners. Measurement instructions were the same for these gloves and the mitts. Hopefully they will loosen up with wear, otherwise they're a little small. For reference I wear a Med. Large Cadet FootJoy golf glove.

Great gloves, but thumb way too long

I love OR gloves and have had multiple pairs over the years. I always take a women's size large, and I have been pleased with overall fit before, but this glove has the thumb almost 3/4" too long. The rest of the glove fits well, but I will have to take these to a tailor to get the thumb shortened. This will mean there is less of the sticky material at the end which helps make them grippy enough for driving, so that's a bummer. Otherwise, I like the gloves. I agree with other reviewers that the outer shells are neat but it is not comfortable to wear them continuously inside the little pocket on the back of the palm. But they fit over some of my other older OR gloves I still keep for snow shoveling when I know I need an extra pair b/c they get wet! So I will use them for that, and take them on hikes etc. when rain is in the forecast.

All day, every task

I wore these for a season and could not recommend a better glove for the money. Currently in the OR Cascades. I put them on in the morning and don't take them off until I'm done for the day, from crawling under the sopping wet snowcat to chain it to the trailer, to collecting snow cores and writing with a pencil. The palms feel very thin and have great dexterity. I have preformed a good number of mechanical repairs wearing these. I frequently end up with my hands in the snow while it's raining on me, and I never got more than a hint of damp in these gloves. For me, they are warm enough while I'm moving, and are comortable into the teens with a PL100 liner. I was afraid they would be too warm for the skin track, but was pretty happy with them. I get a little steamy, but not so much that I can do 3 more laps after digging an avy pit. There isn't much more you'd want in a glove, and these are so cheap, why bother. I finally tore them loading a piece of heavy equipement on a flatbead trailer but am still using them on moderately dry days.

Warmest mitts I've ever put on

Warmest mitts I've ever owned. Throw them on and my hands are sweating after 15 min. The shells are amazing, I've put the shells on top of my gloves during a 90 minute skijor and my hands actually got too warm in 15 degree weather. Not to mention the leather grips very well. The liners are great as well, very warm just on their own. I always bring these any time I'm ice climbing or doing any sort of Alpine movement. Can't recommend them enough. The leather mitt is a vast improvement over the synthetic alti glove.

Great gloves

I love these gloves when I need something to keep my fingers warm when doing a more intense activity. My hands sweat at lot, so these provide the warmth and wind stopping power (thanks to the "wind breaking" layer) without being overly insulated. The pocket for hand warmers is a neat little touch, although I've never used it.

Elastic on back of Mitten is bad set up

I have Alti mitts as well as the Mt. Baker and the strap on the back of the Mt. Baker make them a much better glove: easier to get on and off, ability to cinch them up if you want. The Alti Mitts with the elastic make it nearly impossible to get you hand in and out and causes the liner to come loose. Please add the cinch strap to these mitts and they will be fantastic.

My husband loves his - I needed a pair too!

Wisconsin/polar vortex/shoveling/dog walking/snowshoeing. All good. Takes a little while for gloves to dry once they have been used for a few hours.

These gloves are totally okay. I'm a women with relatively small hands so I was really excited to get a women specific fit. However, I think they went too far. The cuffs are not big enough to fit comfortably over my work jacket. Furthermore, even cinched in they tend to let a little snow in. The cinch over mid-wrist is difficult to use. I don't understand why there are zipper pockets on the gloves. When they were new my hands got really cold in these and I don't usually have that problem with gloves. As I use them more and the leather is softening and my hands are staying warm. Overall, these gloves are comfy, cute, and functional. These gloves are more for the weekend warrior than outdoor pro!

How to measure

Measure around a flat hand at the knuckles,do not include your thumb. Also measure your hand length from the base of your palm to the end of your middle finger. Use the larger of the two measurements to select your glove size.
