Office and Trail suitable

Simply put, I love this shirt. I often wear it to the office when I want to feel comfortable and professional. I also love it as a base layer when hiking (and sweating). This is one of my favorite pieces

Perfect baselayer

Comparable in weight to smartwool 150. This is a great base layer. Has stood up to my abuse so far. 5'8" 160lb 41" chest the M fits well, little long in the sleeves but not enough to be a pain in the a.

great general purpose base layer

Everything I look for in an every day base layer. Warm enough for moderately cold days, though I use something thicker for extreme cold. Comfortable, streches well, good construction.

Working outside all day means I deal with a wide range of temperatures, and layering is key. The Onset has been an integral part of my wardrobe. Its versatility keeps surprising me, not to mention it looks good being worn just by itself.

Great base layer for ski touring. Nice and warm, and for people that sweat a lot on the hike up is very good at wicking sweat off the body.

Discussions

Anyone familiar with the 150 weight Smartwool Baselayers? Is this a similar weight or would it be heavier? I'm looking for a breathable baselayer that doesn't stink like my Patagonia capilene.

Mitch

this would be comparable to weight to a 150 weight wool base layer
