Awesome for Costa Rica Rainforest!

This was perfect traveling and hiking/zip lining through the rainforest where it was raining everyday. I didn't over heat in the warm climes but still stayed completely dry!

Purchase for Mom

This is a gift for mom, its super light but feels strong and well made. Just from handling it I want one for myself. sizing seemed true to size. Buy with confidence.

Excellent jacket; lightweight and comfortable

This rainjacket makes an excellent outer layer over other insulating layers, keeping off the rain and wind. Much nicer than the 2.5L jacket I used previously.

Lightweight Rain Jacket

I bought this jacket for hiking the West Coast Trail. It is very light in weight which makes it perfect for backpacking. It also fits very well. I've gotton some compliments on what ima nice jacket it is.

Gear to get for the Alaskan Adventurer

I was looking for a solid, everyday-type rain jacket to throw in a pack and have handy as a back up as well as providing (Alaskan) summertime-level protection from the elements. I have been impressed with its performance as well as how comfortable it is to wear. It's my go-to jacket for throwing something on when going to town as well as just having an extra layer in my pack. I love this jacket and I hope it holds up for some time because I'm definitely going to use it as long as it has life. I was a little hesitant about what size I should opt for....according to the size chart I'm in between a Small and a Medium. I went with the Small and I am glad I did. I have just enough room under the jacket to wear a down puffy.....but keep in mind I like my clothes fitted. For reference, I'm a 34DD/DDD with a 28" waist + 39" hips. Thanks OR!

Works as intended!

This jacket is surprisingly lightweight, which initially made me wonder about its durability. So far, it's done a great job- kept me dry in downpours, and survived a glissade chute that tore up my older, non-OR rain pants. It doesn't have pit zippers, but so far I haven't missed them.

Great rain jacket!

I love this rain jacket. I had originally purchased the Aspire jacket and found it to be way too bulky (I'm 5' 6", 130 pounds and a medium was falling off of me). I returned it for a size medium in the interstellar, which has a slim (instead of regular) fit. It's so much more comfortable and a flattering jacket. Although not goretex like the aspire, it's still great in wet conditions and dries fast. I'm a researcher and spend a lot of time outside conducting fieldwork. This jacket has proved reliable as an extra layer on windy days and perfect for handling a downpour. The only downside I've yet to find is the lack of pit zips, which is always a plus on rainy and humid summer days.

Hardworking light jacket

I have a lot of shells. Most are too light or too heavy. This one is perfect. I used it for the Colorado trail backpacking trip, sometimes we were up at 13,000 ft. Also used it in windy conditions on a few 14'ers. Performed well. Hood was really good and comfortable. A great jacket.

Pretty good, some fleas

I purchased this for a 5 day winter backpacking trip. I purchased a women's XL, although I normally wear a medium, so that I could get extra length and wear over my warm layers. On the whole I was happy with the purchase. Pros: kept me dry (yay!) in some unpleasant conditions; was breathable; hood cord pull was easy to get a good fit on my head,; very lightweight and packed small. Cons: pockets poorly placed - couldn't access while wearing my pack; not long enough - I got a wet butt, especially if I stopped to rest on a damp surface; hood adjustment tricky to release. On the whole the jacket is good, but not really designed for backpacking wear.
