These gaiters are tough as nails. I have worn them for several hunting and hiking seasons in Alaska, and they are still in great shape. Despite the many miles on scree slopes, muskeg, and gravel creek beds, I'm still one the original instep straps. I can recommend them without reservation.
Lightweight, Durable, gaiter for oversized boots...

Comments about OR Expedition Crocodiles:
I've worn these gaiters for 3 years, going into my 4th this winter. I've worn these gaiters 10 hours a day, 4 days a week in the snow, rain, and in the mud. They are super lightweight, and keep the elements out. The top strap can be quickly adjusted from snug to loose with just a tug of the strap and laying it back down on the hook & loop closure. The straps under the foot has taken everything from jagged rocks, to ice and has taken everything thrown at it. The lower and upper ares are oversized for the purpose of allowing oversized boots. I have worn mine over insulated PAC Boots, which also increases the comfort range of the boots in cold weather conditions. Worn with a standard boot, the gaiters will be loose and sloppy around the boot and lower leg as should be expected. Great gaiter for huntings, but are noisy when they rake against dry grass and brush.
