RATING AND REVIEWS

Very comfortable pants

4

The pants are extremely comfortable. I like the casual look to them. The front pockets are plenty deep and the zipper side pocket is convenient. My complaint with the pants is how they are only available in 32" inseam. I got super excited when these arrived in the mail and I clipped the tags before putting them on. I'm 5"8/5"9 and the 32" inseam makes the pants too long to wear. The bottom cuff is narrow enough to where the pants won't hang down past your hiking boots, but it still leaves A LOT of fabric bunched up at the bottom near the ankles. I have to roll the pant legs and just wear them around the house because of how long they are.

Favorite outdoor hiking and climbing pants!

I love these pants, I climb in them non stop, have taken them boating, and hiked in them manytimes. If you don't own a pair would highly recommend!

Phone pocket comes unglued

I own four pairs of these. I liked the light weight and the fit (not having had the previous version, I did not miss the modifications to this one, mentioned by other reviewers). The pants are in rotation and I do not wear one or the other too much at one time. However, the black pair now sport a series of openings on the top of the thigh/phone pocket, suggesting that the glue is not holding. I am disappointed that, after light wear, the pants are coming apart. Second, perhaps not so serious, the pocket is way too big and the phone bounces around on your leg while you walk. I will not be ordering any more of these pants.

Good pants. The design has changed a little

Great pants. Cons: thigh pocket is a weird size and probably won't be useful. Back pockets are no longer zippered. I would use these for travel. Bottom of legs used to have elastic drawstrings with a cinch; they are now gone so the pants are actually a bit too long. There is still a drawstring, just no cinch.

Great restyling... but

Love the restyled Ferrosi pants, with angled front pocket openings and leg bottoms (no more cinch cord). So, these are styled more for casual wear, for instance, the OR logo is small now and at the hip, not halfway down the leg in large letters. The right leg pocket is now parallel to the belt line, not the leg seam line. What I MISS are the zippered back pockets, which gave me a great deal of security for travel and for camping--don't have to worry about the wallet flying out. So, I'm glad that I have four other pairs with the cinch cord (can beat that for hiking) and the zippered pockets. But I will say that, for casual wear, the new styling if very sharp.

Nice pants but prefered the older design.

I've owed several pairs of Ferrosi Pants and needed a new pair. The sizing on the pants hasn't changed but the cut/design has. I use these for spring ski touring and the new cut with the super narrow cuff will not fit over my ski boots. They are also missing the draw cord in the cuff. I liked the thigh pocket change but didn't like the removal of the zipper on the back pockets. Sizing-I'm 73" tall, 190# and usually wear a 32-33 waist. I ended up having to purchase 34" in these so I had some room in the legs but now the waist is large, I ended up adding some elastic in the waist to keep them up without a belt. These pants block just the right amount of wind, still breath and dry quickly. They also stretch just enough.

I love these pants

I love these pants in the field. They are extremely comfortable and lightweight. These pants have proved to be more durable than they may seem, they have consistently held up against abrasion and abuse out hiking and on rock walls.
