I really wanted to like this Jacket

I bought this to be my everyday transition jacket from work to woods. The Ferrosi line has such great reviews so I thought I'd get it and see what all the talk was about. This is my second and last OR jacket I'll buy. First of of the sizing. All the reviews said it ran small to size up and I would say that not too. I'm petite, fit, small chest, 115 lbs. The small is semi baggy on me. Its definitely not a fit trim like the website states. I could have easily gotten the XS and it would have fit better. The sleeves are soo long. Whats up with OR and sleeve length? This jacket eats my hands. I own the OR Deviator hoodie in XS and it fits like it should but again the sleeves on that jacket cover my hands almost. Also the Winter Ferrosi is heavy and bulky. I would not take this jacket on a backpacking trip. On the plus side its very warm. I work as a guide and use my gear until it falls apart and I'm just not been impressed with the fit of OR gear which is a shame. Oh and I'll add the berry color is not shiny its muted and bleh.

Thanks Dad!!!

Bought this coat for my teenage daughter. She's particular about many things including her clothing. The cut needs to be right. The color needs to be right. The feeling it gives you when wearing it, needs to be right. She wants to be an engineer. Very analytical. First time she put it on, she said she liked it. Next two days she wore it constantly. Her feedback, "Good purchase dad" said with a smile.

The best midlayer ever

This is the best midlayer ever. I have a previous years model in pink and got the 2018 version in black. It is so flattering, breathable and wonderful. I wear it to work in both front counters and back country settings. It continues to smell fresh after multi-day backpacking trips & looks great. It fits great both as a jacket and underneath a puffy for colder conditions. Would suggest to anyone. It worth the big $$ & holds up for hundreds of washes!

Nice jacket, with a bomber shell, but the fit is off.

The shoulders are a bit tight. They don't stretch as suggested in the description. If you have a climbers body, this jacket may not be a great fit in the shoulders/upper back

Mixed feelings about this jacket

I originally ordered this jacket in an XL, based on the reviews, but it was way too big, sleeves were too long and I could fit a puffy jacket underneath. Not the fit I was looking for. I reordered in a Large and it is a perfect curvy fit for me. I also ordered the oasis first, the color was way brighter than the picture, more like the video color of turquoise blue. Second try I did the pewter which is much more my style. I am 5'7" and very curvy, 38D in chest with broad shoulders.

Perfect Jacket

Great fit and comfortable. Not as bulky or delecate as the puffy coats. Warm, windproof. Flattering fit. Pockets are good size and several options. This is my favorite of all my OR jackets.

I wanted to love this jacket

I really wanted to love this jacket, especially since my husband has the men's version and wears it nearly every day and always raves about how awesome it is. I am a pretty petite person and I usually wear a size small or medium in most tops/jackets, etc. I'm 5'1, 135lb, 36B (hoping these measurements will help others when selecting a size). After reading the reviews, I decided to order a size medium. When it arrived, I was so disappointed. It looked great zipped up, the fit was really flattering, the length in the arms was perfect and so was the length of the jacket, but it just fit so tight through the upper back shoulder area as well as the hips and chest area. I couldn't fully extend my arms or even touch the top of my head because it was so constricting. It was so uncomfortably tight that it started giving me back pain. I decided to return it and try again with a large. The large fits better through the shoulders and chest, but the sleeves and the body of the jacket are super bulky and the jacket is really long (covers almost my entire backside) so it's not very flattering. It looks very oversized. It's pretty disappointing to see these issues mentioned in several reviews but the fit issue hasn't been fixed. I'll be keeping it as a top layer for camping and whatnot, but really wish I could've loved it enough for every day use! OR customer service was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the return process though, so that was definitely a plus!

Buy the men's version! Women's is too fitted.

Wanted a warm, light coat that wouldn't rip as easy as the typical down jacket.

Love the jacket - order a size up

Love the jacket. I'm a small person with very narrow shoulders, but I found the small size jacket was restricting. I settled on a size medium for this style of jacket and I'm happy with that decision.

New favorite every day jacket

This jacket has been rightfully hyped! Can be worn casually, hiking, climbing, to the office, you name it. My only complaint is that it runs small in the shoulders (mine are pretty wide, however), I needed to exchange for a Large (5' 7", 155 lb), but once sized correctly the fit is awesome and looks good too. I threw a fish and wildlife department logo patch on the front and am already wearing this jacket to meetings as well as every day outside around the fish hatchery. The warmth to weight ratio is very high too, it's a warm jacket for not being heavy or "noisy" like some soft shells can be, will keep you toasty into the teens, and is reasonably wind resistant. Rightfully hyped!

I typically wear a medium and tried this jacket in a medium. The sleeve length and overall length were a little short; when I pulled up the hood, the jacket came off my shoulders. I'm wondering if the large jacket would fit a little better. It looks like the sleeves are about an inch longer but I'm not sure if the hood-to-shoulder ratio is better, too. For reference, I'm just under 6' tall and 155 pounds, with a 34D bra.
