Camber is a nonprofit organization founded in 1996 that equips Partner organizations across the $887 Billion Outdoor Recreation Economy to implement best practices in Workplace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Workplace DEI). Our 200+ Camber Partners range from nonprofit organizations and leading industry associations to small businesses and Fortune 100 corporations. They all share a commitment to taking action and implementing organizational change that creates inclusive cultures, equitable systems and ultimately attracts and retains a diversity of talent to their workplaces.
Our mission is to help them get there. By 2030, more than half of American workers will be Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC). The business case is clear: More diverse, equitable, and inclusive organizations are better able to meet goals, win top talent and improve their customer orientation, employee satisfaction, and decision-making.
Why We Work Together
For over seven years, Outdoor Research and Camber Outdoors have partnered on advancing workplace inclusion. Members of the Outdoor Research leadership team have been involved with Camber from their beginnings, as original pledge signers, legacy mentors, and members of their Board of Directors. Outdoor Research employees have access to Camber’s broad range of workplace support programs, including building blocks for diversity, equity, and inclusion, mentorship, workplace anti-racism action agendas, and more.
