Great gloves for fishing and desert hiking as they will protect your hands against sun and windburn. I wore these in White Sands National Monument on a 98 degree day and walked away without any sunburn. They are very comfortable in that environment and essential if you like covering up every inch of skin while you are desert hiking. They are also good for fishing/paddling. They are not meant for sustained use like work gloves are and they will tear easier than OR's winter gloves.
