RATING AND REVIEWS

Bad quality, very very disappointed - TWICE

1

Am v disappointed to have to write a bad review. These gloves look great, and when brand new, performed as expected, with great grip, fit and feeling - felt warm enough to climb ice in them down to about -5C no problem. However, these gloves DO NOT LAST. I've had two pairs, and neither made it through a two week ice trip. That is unacceptable, especially as one of those trips was to Tibet so no replacement possible. The issue is stiching between the leather and the material, it is weak and gives way. Absolutely beyond annoyed that the second pair did not only do the same thing, but in four fingers, not just one! I can't do this again. I've been a huge fan of OR gear in general for many years but this, in addition to terrible "international" service response leaves me very unhappy and seriously questioning future purchase decisions.

Amazing grip

Excellent grip and great fit. Perfect for climbing/hiking. The pinky finger is a little long on each glove but could just be my hands.

Strange at first then the very best one for Ice fall climbin

went for Ice fall climbing in Italy, Cognes. my previous Ice fall climbing gloves, from Millet, were worn out. so I stopped in french shop in the Alps to by new ones. At first putting them on, strange feeling (maybe neoprene?) but then in the field, whaoo effect warrantied. Fit well, no cold even by minus -10°C. and absolutely no slippage (internal in the gloves, or external to the tool (Nomic). fits like a second (tough) skin. I know I will love them

the best technical glove on the market!!

This product has been a staple of use in snowmobiling for many years for me. Even when wet and wore out they still provide the protection and ability I've come to expect. On my fourth pair and just bought a pair for my buddy so he can enjoy as well.

NOt for cold or chilli days

Got them for ice climbing. Biggest mistake. The rubber or material they are made for first won't warm up at all so when innice your hands will get really cold. Then they really stick to your ski n so admit you're hanging on the axes it feels like notable ripping your skin off your hand . Def not for a cold weather. I can see them being useful for drytooling or where you need to use you're handa on rock scrambling like as they seem very resistant and would provide good protection to your hands. I'm giving them A poor review mostly since the label says for ice climbing and I don't feel it's right. If they were advertised as drytooling or spring/summer Gloves I'd give them a better review and recommend them. .

Gloves have stood up to some pretty hard dumps in the backcountry while Mountain Biking, saving my hands from serious rash... the next day on the rifle range. Medium Great Fit to my size 8/9 hands, offering excellent grip in nasty weather. Have only had them for a month... we'll see how they stand up the next few months.

Discussions

Are these gloves windproof? Or also are the Coldshot Tactical Gloves windproof? Looking for something to use on my bicycle and motorcycle.

Sam

Hi Sam, The Alibi II Gloves and the Coldshot Gloves are not windproof. We would recommend purchasing a specific windproof glove built for motorcycling and/or cycling. If you wanted to purchase our gear though, we would suggest the Stormtracker Sensor Gloves, which have great dexterity and are more durable than our fleece Backstop Sensor Gloves. Thanks for contacting OR,

Paul

How to measure

Measure around a flat hand at the knuckles,do not include your thumb. Also measure your hand length from the base of your palm to the end of your middle finger. Use the larger of the two measurements to select your glove size.
