RATING AND REVIEWS

Great wind stopper

5

Bought this for cycling and works exceptionally well for blocking the cold wind and keeps me warm. I had to buy this in a size large, as the smaller size was sold out. The large is a little loose around the nose area but other than that fits good

Great for skiing

5

Took this for 4 and a half days of skiing at Tremblant. Temps around -8 C to +5 C and this never felt too hot. Great for blocking wind and snow and versatile enough to be worn in a few different ways.

Good balaclava

4

It's a great balaclava. I only wish it had a hole for my mouth, like airhole products

Deep Cold and Burly Winds require serios coverage!

5

Went back east to visit family and ski, weather predicted near zero and windy conditions on the mountains... Purchased one for me and my bride so we weren't left in the cold NOREASTSER blizzards. These Balacalava's did their jobs... Kept us warm and compfy!

Slightly large

I've only used this a few times and it's been very useful. It is advertised as being universal and can be worn multiple ways but when I use it as just a neck gaiter, it's too loose to cover my face

Warm, light, and breathable

5

I couldn't decide and bought both the Ninjaclava and Ascendant Balaclava. I've not yet had the time to use them significantly below freezing, but because this is a new product without many reviews I thought I'll submit a review already. I've used the balaclava under a helmet while biking in temperatures close to freezing. Due to the speed and wind, it is actually a nice test for how warm and breathable it is. I thought it worked great. It fits easily under a helmet that I didn't buy to have a lot of space. It's warm, and very breathable compared to other products. Depending on your needs (more warmth and weather protection vs breathability), this may be a great product for you. For hiking trips around 10-20F, I will probably bring both and compare. I'd expect the Ninjaclava to be more suitable in more windy and colder conditions.

Love it! Material is very thin and light weight but warm. I like that you can wear it different ways.
