RATING AND REVIEWS

Great hooded baselayer

5

Comfortable, super lightweight and super breathable. This hoody is not very warm but I find it to be great over a base layer or t-shirt when wearing for running or xc-skiing. I'm 5'11" and the Medium almost fits perfect but rides up a little in the armpits. I don't notice it much when exercising tho. This is a great addition to add just a little warmth and UV protection when outside.

My new go to

You'll find yourself reaching for this all the time. Sofa, happy hour, running, gym, cycling, underlayer for skiing. I use the hood as insulation under climbing helmet while skiing in the PNW. Could literally wear this everyday.

Excellent layer as a base layer or with under layer.

Truly cutting edge, thank you for all the design, development and field testing that lead to producing this great product! Continued good fortune ahead.

Great shoulder season shirt

4

Great shirt. I am using it for the shoulder season running - not really cold, but too cold for a tee shirt; this is perfect; keeps me warm but breathes well enough that I don't overheat. Also great as a base layer. I'm going to buy another one. not sure if there is a crew neck version out there since the hood is maybe not 100% necessary, but I didnt want a zip.

I love my Echo Hoody but I have several suggestions to OR

4

I love this layer, it is my go-to for protecting my pale skin from the sun. That said there are several things I have issue with. Cons: - The hood drawstring is pointless and annoying, get rid of it. - the side zipper pocket is annoying, I wear this layer when climbing (read wearing a harness) and backpacking (read wearing a hip-belt). This causes it to dig into my hip. I almost always have pockets on my pants or bag while wearing this layer and have literally never used this pocket for anything. - There should be lighter color options. Since this is my sun shirt I often wear it when it's quite hot out. Lighter colors are cooler in the sun, so why are there no lighter colored options? so that you don't think I hate this layer: Pros: - Protects me from the sun - is super lightweight - is relatively durable - dries super fast I love my echo, but it could be made perfect by addressing these concerns!

Wasn't sure at first but...

I've been addicted to the Radiant Hybrid hoody since I got it a couple years ago and wanted another hoody that was a bit lighter/more minimal for warmer weather and high exertion activities like mountain biking. When I received the Echo hoody it appeared and felt thinner and more minimal than I had expected. I was initially worried it would only perform like a base layer, given the construction. I was wrong and pleasantly surprised when I began using it! Its quickly become one of my favorite pieces both for riding (40-60 degrees, over a short sleeve drifit tee shirt) and everyday casual wear (over a tee shirt). I really like it and would definitely buy it again!

Great for warm weather

This hoodie is great for warmer weather workouts or if you need protection from the sun. It a trim fit. I am 5'09 / 171 lbs and a med fits perfect.

Excellent layer!

I wear mine backpacking, hiking, snowshoeing or on long approaches. They only had a small in the store when I first got one which has worked and worn very well. I just received a second only med. I'd prefer light elastic rather than a drawstring for the hood.

Comfortable, lightweight

5

This is a great, lightweight shirt. It is a bit slim cut, but it fits a swimmer's frame well without being restrictive. It is breathable and provides good protection from the sun in in warm or tropical environments.

Great for layering

4

Extremely breathable hoody great for layering. The material is very similar to their Echo Tee if you're familiar with them. Not the warmest hoody I own, BUT you wont work up a sweat and end up wet and miserable.
