Weird fit for women with a booty

I experience a similar problem with a lot of Patagonia's bottoms in that the pants are not made for women with a booty. I am an athletic build and spend a lot of time in the mountains. I'm 5'7", 130lbs and usually wear a small top and a 4 or 6 bottom depending on the fit. I ordered the 4 and felt that the pants were just a hair too tight for hiking pants so I returned them and ordered a size 6. Unfortunately, the front zipper felt long or hung low like men's zippers which I was worried could cause chafing on my inner thigh while hiking. The pants fit fine around the waist, however they were tight around my front thigh and loose on my back thigh? Just an overall strange fit, which was a huge bummer because the fabric seemed perfect in that it's breathable, lightweight and would probably dry quickly.

Women's Ferrosi Pant

I finally found my perfect pant! I bought three pairs and couldn't be happier. This pant fits incredibly, is amazingly light but also durable, and has a simple elegant design. Great for climbing, hiking, field work, or just hanging out in. I am 135lbs/5'4'' and a size 6 is a bit too large in the waist. I will probably return for a size 4. The only thing that could make this pant better is if the length came in a "short" version. Great pant! Good work OR.

I wear a different color every day...

These are the best dern pants I've ever owned. They are comfortable, flattering, and dry quick. The only bummer is that after wearing the dickens out of my first pair for a year they got a bit piled, but a friend of mine told OR and they swapped hers out for a new pair.

Great quality pants

This is a great quality pants which is lightweight and stretchy. Very comfortable for use in the tropics. The only complaint I have is that the waist comes a bit larger than the advertized size.

Versatile pants

Great fitting pants that work in the field or around the town. Can comfortably fit a warm layer under for cooler days.

perfect outdoor pant

I have 3 pairs of these that I wear for work all summer. They have stood the test of rough conditions, incredible amounts of mud and dirt and general wear and tear. They dry fast and stay cool in heat and humidity.

I Love These Pants!

From the minute I tried on these pants I've been in love! The are weightless and stretchy so you hardly feel them! I'm an environmental scientist so I wear them when I'm doing field work and they are perfect! they have a nice waist that is high enough for squatting and bending over yet not constricting. My only problem is on cool mornings they are a chilly, not very wind resistant. But otherwise amazing pants!

The Only Ones for Me!!!!

I bought my first pair two years ago and I will not wear any other hiking/climbing pants ever! Its a waste of my money to even find something better. I was getting really upset that even after losing 50 pounds, hiking pants still did not fit my waist and hip ratio. Everything was uncomfortable. I have inherited my Hispanic DNA rear end so the crotch/hip would be too tight or a huge gap at the back of the waist. These are the only ones that work perfect! Took these to Ecuador and hiked up in CAJA. Unbelievable water and wind resistance. Hiked in drizzle, everyone was wet but these pants shed the water! Also hardly felt the wind. After they dried, the dirt fell right off (do not rub or clean dirt off until dry) without staining. Was able to wear one pair for a week without washing!!! My husband says to find something cheaper but he likes how i look in them and he eventually lets up. I am 5'7" 157 pounds and wear a 10 but could also make an 8 work.

New Favorite Pant

These pants fit perfect, have just the right stretch, and look as good at the end of the day as they do at the beginning of the day. Very comfortable!

Can't handle everything

These pants fit great and are comfortable but my first day out in them they failed to live up to my expectations. OR must have forgotten that the mountain they refer to in their slogan may also have overgrown trails and a real hiker may have to do some bushwhacking. After wading through 6 or so feet of brush my new pants were snagged in multiple spots. The other hikers with me didn't have any snags in their Kuhl, Columbia, and Eddie Bauer hiking pants. And OR still hasn't returned my email asking about returns....

How does the drawstring cuff on the women's Ferrosi pant work or stay tight? Can the pant convert to a capri style with the drawstring cuff?

There is a spring-loaded cord lock that maintains tension on the cord. You could cinch the drawcord and roll up the cuff for more of a capris style.
