This waterproof ultra-lightweight 18-liter pack comes with its own stuff sack, and when it’s stowed, it’s smaller than a can of beer (or a small coffee, if that’s more your thing). Carry it for side trips from base camp, or keep it inside your overnight pack to keep your camera dry during a downpour.

RATING AND REVIEWS

Light duty

4

Good light duty pack, keeps the water out even while paddling, but very much so light duty. After 1 day of use kayaking and adventuring around a island the pack developed a few small holes from where I'd set it down when we paused for lunch. Admittedly it was onto rock but it likely should have a reinforced bottom, tho itd likely hold up fine in snowy conditions. All in all it doesnt get lighter than this pack that being said I'd accept a little more weight for a reinforced bottom

Great for carry-on and hiking backpack while traveling

This was perfect for my 7 week trip to Central America as I could move my valuables and electronics to it and carry it on buses or the plane and transfer it into my larger backpack when I needed to. However, because it is so lightweight and I also used it for dayhiking volcanoes and walking around cities with a 1.5L waterbottle, it accumulated quite a lot of damage. I left a pencil in here and it poked quite a few holes through the bottom. I also used too much weight in it so the seams ended up breaking. All in all, those were user error - next time I will buy something a notch sturdier but if you're a minimalist and weight matters to you definitely buy this bag. The dry sac feature was nice for wet weather but it can also be hard to access gear easily.
