Warm Mittens

I used my mittens on a night at Fenway Park and downhill skiing in February. The mittens kept my hands warm and I like them. Quality product and I highly recommend them.

Very warm but no dexterity

Very warm and tough mitt. However, it is impossible to do anything once you have them on. I haven't tried, but I suspect you could do little more than push/pull an ascender up a fixed rope with these. I CAB attest that it is impossible to belay, hold a beverage, undo a small buckle, or even hold a trekking pole reliably. I tried a smaller size and had the same problem. I am keeping one pair because they are so dang warm. When I'm ice climbing in a team of three or more and don't have to climb OR belay, these are great for staying warm while waiting my turn. However, they aren't practical for anything else, except, perhaps 7000+ meter peaks.

Nice and Toasty

Very warm and surprisingly dexterous. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Warm, durable and functional

Have had 3 weeks of use in -10 to -20 Celsius weather and find the mitts to be quite warm. I fall between small and medium sizing but sized up so I could wear a thin liner glove underneath. A few things I have enjoyed about the mitts so far: - Comfortable to wear while standing at -10 Celsius and while walking (light activity) at -20 Celsius - Durable, they already had a crampon step on them and both the Goretex shell and leather held up fine - With the liner mitt removed I can fit a light to mid-weight glove inside which works well for ice climbing. I get the dexterity of the glove while climbing and the ability to throw the shell over for some added warmth at the belay. Not a major issues, but I have noticed that without a 'cinch' at the wrist the mittens sometimes start to slide off my hands. A durable, warm and functional mitten - hope you enjoy!

Awesome product!

I wore these on a brown bear hunt in AK. I was in a spike camp on a mountain for a week and these mittens provided tremendous warmth and comfort while out in the conditions. A definite must have if your planning to be out in wintery conditions for long hours.

10 Years old and still going strong

I've had this mitts for 10 years and wear everyday in winter for several hours. Still look brand new very well made product. I've bike rode with this mitts in all kinds of cold weather and hands never got cold. Best mitts I've ever had.

Who doesn't like red

Lighter weight than previous arm length gloves from other manufacturers. These gloves have better draw strings for gloved hand closures.

Still the industry standard

I used these mittens on a recent expedition to the summit of Denali and they performed beautifully. Professional guides consider this mitten to be the best on the market for extreme cold temperatures and high altitude. It is an essential item on any large expedition. Bombproof, comfortable, and incredibly warm, these are simply the best that money can buy.

Must have for winter and even spring or fall since it has a removable liner for warmer days. Would buy again. Bear pair of mittens I've ever ourchased!
