There are a multitude of legitimate reasons to use your smartphone while skiing—checking the weather, calling the mid-mountain lodge to see if they are still doing 2-for-1 PBRs, taking a photo of your friend dropping into the chute you hiked to—and we’re here to enable, not to judge. So here’s the Southback Sensor Glove, which will help you do any of those things (and more) with our Sensor technology on the thumb and forefinger. Oh, and they’re great for skiing too—waterproof, warm, and functional, with a grippy leather palm, removable leash, and pocket on the back of the hand.

So excited to wear these on the slopes this winter - I usually wear mittens as opposed to gloves but these feel warm enough for me! Very comfy.

As advertised.

Just got back from a week in Whistler. Snow ranged from wet and choppy to icy; temps 10degF to the upper 30's, some snow, some rain on the lower mountain & village. My hands stayed warm and dry throughout. Thanks, OR - another home run!

OK, but major design flaw in my opinion

First let me say that I am a big fan of OR products and having been wearing jackets for years. Ordered this glove for colder resort and side-country days. Glove looks and fits great, but there is no insulation beyond the base of the palm. So the entire over-cuff area is just fabric. Unless you have a burly over the thumb mid-layer, you are definitely gonna get a draft and cold air coming through there. I am certainly plan to still use them, and overall great for the price point. Just thought this was worth noting.

How to measure

Measure around a flat hand at the knuckles,do not include your thumb. Also measure your hand length from the base of your palm to the end of your middle finger. Use the larger of the two measurements to select your glove size.
