RATING AND REVIEWS

I buy the Yellow for Biking

5

I recently bought three more of the yellow Echo Tee shirts. I'm fortunate enough to ride my bike to work year round and I really don't want to get hit by a car. The yellow shirt is bright!...can't miss it! Sure it's not one of those body tight bike jersey shirts, but I'm not racing....I'm commuting. The Echo breaths extremely well. I actaully don't sweat in it...it breaths that well. I'm sure this shirt would be great for hiking and even travel. It's super light and can crunch up into the palm of your hand.

A great buy!

I use this shirt for biking and high intensity activities. Keeps me cool and relatively dry. It's light weight and breathable fabric feels to good to be true but it's kind of perfect.

Great lightweight long sleeve for when you want just a bit more than a tee.

Love the weight of this shirt, although the fabric catches on things easily (like my glasses when I put it on), and I'm worried it's not going to last. Good sun protection/layer on a cool morning, not too warm if it heats up. I've mostly been using this for mountain biking in CO, but will probably wear it running once it gets a bit cooler. I normally where a small and found that much too large. The XS fits great.

Great light shirt for summer or as a baselayer for hot activities in cooler temps. Wicks quite well.

I have had a couple of these shirts in short sleeves and loved the breath-ability so much I just had to get the long sleeve. I love wearing it hiking and around on hot days as it protects me from the sun while being breathable enough to keep me cool. I will wear it floating on the river as well and not be afraid of getting it wet since it dries so quickly.

This might be the most used piece of OR gear I have. I wear this all the time. It was perfect when I lived in hot and humid SE Asia, it works for well in cooler climates as a lightweight and breathable base layer with or without a t-shirt. It is perfect for summer backpacking adventures, biking, (trail) running, or even as a second layer for active winter activities (I've used it over the sequence l/s). I now own three of these. The first one I bought in 2013 and it's still holding up great after *lots* of use. My only complaint is with the color options. This is, of course, a matter of personal preference, but I love it when OR makes things with simple (single) colors. I love the alloy/pewter because it isn't flashy. The duller colors for the sequence are better, but I still like to keep it simple. I tried the blue color to have something darker (to hide stains better), but I dislike the bright contrasting color combos/accents.

Better than sunscreen

Great material, normally I would take off 2 extra stars just for the loose fit, but it does seem the Echo shirt is meant for running in warmer weather. That said, I appreciate the added airflow. The downsides are that mosquitoes will bite you through this shirt, so be aware of that if you live in mosquito land. Other thing would be that the material doesn't play nice with velcro, so keep them separate..
