Great pants, way too long

Very nice pant, and like all the Ferrosi stuff, very versatlie. Caution on fit: I'm a 32 inseam in most pants but these pants advertised as 32 were waaaaay too long in the inseam. Not a problem with legs zipped off, of course. But I had to return. Be warned.

Comfy, but the nice look unravels quickly

It's been a love-hate relationship with these. HATE: First, I thought: "why do they have to be so stretchy? They feel kind of baggy". LOVE: But then I had them hiking and climbing and the stretch made for a lot of comfort. HATE: After just a couple months of babying them through the wash cycles, I've already noticed quite a bit of pilling LOVE: Standing back a bit and looking beyond the pilling, the pants still look great.

Great Pants

Love these pants. Wear them for just about anything outdoor related.

Great pants, not durable

Beautifully designed pants. Great fit, fantastic zippers, ultralight and has a bit of stretch. Unfortunately after less than a month of use the seams on BOTH sides of the pants began to unravel. Though these pants are great, they do not hold up well to use in the mountains. Another small gripe is that the pockets dip in the middle meaning that a knife will slide to the middle and make it difficult to keep your hands in the pockets or put other stuff in pockets

Great pants/shorts

Great item for someone (me) who can't decide on Ferrosi shorts or pants. You get both! Got these for an upcoming trip to Denver; love them so far, wore them for indoor climbing after receiving and they performed great. Lightweight, breathable, and roomy enough to move freely, definitely not a slim fitting pant. The only negative I've found is that when wearing them as pants, I am aware of the zipper attachment at the knee and can feel the weight of the zipper banging against my legs, not terrible but a distraction. The legs attach and detach easily, though one might have trouble slipping the leg sleeves over a heavy boot. I got my usual size (32) and while they fit they are a loose 32, but I fear a 30 would have been too small...definitely wearable though, just more of a baggy look. All in all - very happy, they are comfortable and will be great for packing light, one item gets you both a pant and a short. Love the versatility.

These pants are pants

Great pants, perfect for hiking and exploring! Everything I wanted in a pair of zip-offs, except for a side zipper on the bottom of the pants for making it easier to get over shoes. No big deal though, everything else fits and looks great.

Great pants for backpacking/hiking/camping/daily use

I love these pants. They are very durable, very lightweight, and somewhat water resistant. Even when they do get wet, they dry very quickly. I've used them kayaking, backpacking and hiking. They are comfortable look good too.

Investing in a second pair for lightweight travelling!

Now my favorite pair of shorts, can't wait to travel with these convertibles as well. Incredibly lightweight, extremely comfortable and breathable. Time will tell on the durability but so far they're holding up well. I'll be investing in one more pair of these for minimalist travelling. Very well constructed, super pleased.

Moving on to my 4th Pair

These are my all purpose pant. Warm or cold weather, they beat the wind in most conditions. I usually hike in these down to 30 F, and then add a base layer under if it's much colder. Rain pant over the too if it's really wet. I also add an insulated pant over while in camp or in long breaks while snowshoeing when I'm not moving. Otherwise, this is all I wear year-round. I'm in my 4th pair only because of catching on rusty nails or the pick of an ice axe, otherwise I've gotten 4 years of heavy use out if them

So close to greatness...

I'm a former backcountry guide. I now backpack with my kids, and get out pretty much every weekend, and on 3 or for extended trips each year. I really wanted to love these pants. But going from 32 to 34...I'm in between and they slide off. If you had more sizing options or perhaps some elastic to bridge the sizing gap. Also, the convertible zipper still sways like a hoop skirt banging my legs when I walk. A lighter weight zipper might do the trick. Needs to not feel like it's there. Generally, though, LOVE OR gear. Keep innovating! Thanks!
