These pants dig climbs that take them a few hundred feet off the deck. The tough but stretchy, breathable but wind-resistant Ferrosi fabric stays cool during long approach hikes, moves with you while talus wrangling and high-stepping on the sharp end, and blocks wind during long hours of belaying up high.

Super comfortable pants with for stretch. I wish it was a tad longer just because it "feels" to short but longer might be a hinder when hiking. Also super tiny pockets

Great unrestrictive pant!

Very comfortable, especially with high exertion activities. Fabric stretches well, isn't very durable but lightweight in return. Comfortable in a harness. I have bought three different colors and some friends have also purchased the Ferrosi Pants!

bought 5 pairs for me and the wife

Wear them for work and outdoor adventures

I'm on my third pair

These pants have held up longer than any pant I have used. I have tried just about every light weight soft shell, and the ferrosi just keeps delivering. If you like these pants and the fit, but the seasons are changing, the VooDoo pants will give you a very pleasant surprise.

Extremely pleased with the pants

So far I have only used them on day hikes, but they extremely comfortable. It's the little things that set them apart! The soft lining around the waist band on the inside for example. Attention to detail on top of a light comfortable platform.

Terrible under a harness or backpack hip belt

If you are looking for climbing pants, look somewhere else. I have put these through the wringer, from sport in Thailand, alpine climbs in WA state, and multipitch trad in yosemite. There are many things I like about these pants, like the fabric. All of those things are outweighed by the lack of an integrated belt. Wearing a belt is fine if you are a day hiker exploring a river. BUT if you are wearing a harness or using backpack straps, wearing an additional belt means getting cuts, chafing, and sores on your hips after many miles of climbing or walking, since the two will rub against each other and pinch the skin. Skip the belt you say? I'm a 28-30 in waist. I bought a 28 since I knew they would stretch. A couple years later and the waist line has quickly expanded to be around 34-36 inches, so that a generous portion of my butt is on display if I wear them without a belt. I know multiple people who have had the same experience with these pants. Bottom line: these pants stretch way too much, and all climbing pants should have an integrated belt.

Wildly light pants

Some of the for problems people experience is due to these Ferrossis being loose tights with pockets rather than pants. I was fortunate to be at a store and could try on. Walked out with a pair 1-2" smaller than normal. So far beeen wearing all day then sleeping in them at night.

Right now Kathmandu

Great pair of pants. First product from OR I bought. I will be buying more.

Lighter than expected

Feels a lot roomier than expected. Also a lot lighter than I expected after having watched the Ferrosi product video. However they should be good for late spring hiking and traveling.

Really stylish and utilitarian pants!

Tested out the black pants in 80 degree weather and direct sun all day and didn't get hot at all. These pants can easily be used as nice work pants or at a decent restaurant in town as well as being absolutely fantastic for hiking or other outdoor activities. So nice, I bought 4 colors :)

What temperature are these pants rated for? Would they be well suited in 40-50 degree temperatures? Even for stationary activities such as tree stand hunting?

Hi Cole, The pants will possibly be too cold for that temperature, it's very subjective. If the area that you live in isn't too windy, the pants might be warm enough if you were to wear a base layer underneath the pants. Thanks for contacting OR, Paul

I am a 31 waist normally, should I go 30 or 32?

Hi Gareth, Sorry for the late response. A size Medium has a 31.5" waist with an inseam of 30.25". Thanks for contacting OR, Paul
