RATING AND REVIEWS

Great Shell Jacket

4

I got this jacket as a replacement from OR for a previous jacket that I had bought. The main purpose for it was to be used as a shell for ice climbing. I took the jacket to a short 5 day trip to Hyalite Canyon and it performed great. The conditions were a bit wet on some of the routes with some wind on the upper pitches and although my gloves were getting soaked, this jacket kept me dry as a bone. It fits, wears and breaths well. I like the torso flop zips and the nice over helmet hood. My only grip with it is that the velcro cuffs on the wrist tend to keep sliding up regardless of how tight I cinch them. Other than that the jacket felt great. It is light although it feels sturdy on the shoulders and chest area.

Best jacket ever!

I have had a Furio jacket for many years that has served me well on many cold weather steelhead fishing trips in Northern Michigan as well as late season backpacking in the UP and Isle Royale. Cold wet weather is no match for the Furio! So much so that I just purchased this one for my son as a Christmas gift, he will be stocked! Thank you OR!

Can't wait to put it to the test in the backcountry

Skiing, hiking, usually worn with a pack. The venting should be terrific for the skin-ups when its blowing or snowing.

Great do-anything jacket - bit big though

5

I was stoked about everything this jacket had to offer when it arrived; bombproof build, great features, light/packable shell etc. etc. and it looked great. My only downside was that it is a little large. I am always stuck in between the Medium - Large sizing of jackets so it is always a bit of a gamble, even with the measurements clearly stated. It is a hard guess to get something that is a good fit and can still accommodate layering. I bought the Large and it's just a touch too big for me even with a baselayer and fleece etc. I'm 6' 167lbs / 184cm 76kg, built like a pencil with long arms. The medium would have been the go for me but I always struggle to get coverage up to my wrists, hence went with the gamble for the large. I'd say anyone over 6' 180lbs / 184cm 81kg would be good for a large and if you below then the medium would be a better fit IMO.

Great Jacket

Great jacket, light and definitely water proof. Fits true to size, I am a big fello and I still have enough room to wear a light layer underneath. The colour is better than expected, bright but more erth tones than florescent. Would highly recomend this jacket to everyone living in the northwest where it rains constantly. My favourite jacket for typical cold and rainy days up here.

Best Shell - Keeps It All Out

5

Needed a great waterproof shell for skiing, winter weather youth soccer spectating, hiking, commuting (walking in the rain). This was the answer - should have gotten it long ago! Love it. Nice array of pockets, great underarm full zipper to enable better pocket access and to cool down. 6'3 180 medium build - I like the medium - fits a bit sleeker, but still works for active sport - skiing.

Shoulders were too narrow for this guy

I was so excited for this jacket, but ultimately it just did not fit right. Appeared to be really durable, but the shoulders were just too narrow for me.

Have not used it for skiing yet , got it to go with my black RUROC helmet , the jacket fits well , looks like it's very well made , has good pockets in the right places . I think this jacket will work very well when I hit the slopes
