First, I want to point out that the Radiant Hybrid Hoodie is one of my all-time favorite pieces by any manufacturer. I wear ice climbing, to work, around town, backpacking-literally, everywhere. Which is why I was excited to get these lower-half counterpoints to the jacket. I use the hoodie as a go-to mid layer piece. I bought these pants with the intention they would make a middle layer insulating piece for my legs during skiing, climbing, etc. While the material is the same high-performance, the fit and cut are much less technical. The waistband is secured only with a very poor and flimsy drawstring that lacks a cordlock. Instead, I have to tie a knot in it every time. This means I also have to untie her not every time I want to use the bathroom. The cut of the pants is your typical sweat pants: boxy and loose. The hoodie has a trim fit that hugs the body and makes layering easy. These pants have a loose and boxy fit; layering with them feels impossible and too bulky. However, my wife loves these pants and thinks I look great in them when I wear them around the house. Subsequently, they are my go-to piece when I get home from work and I want to relax. A good piece, just not as technically oriented as some of OR's other gear.
