RATING AND REVIEWS

Great stylish down jacket

4

Great down jacket except for external snap wind flap is loose and does not lay flat or cover the zipper. Put a velcro or snap halfway on the flap.

I would buy again.

Waist section is a little tight/small for the fit. But a very solid Jack, typical with OR name.

The best winter jacket

5

Bought as my towny bike commute jacket. It is somewhat technical while being stylish and functional. Since I live I. Whitefish I can testify it is the perfect winter jacket for a mountain ski town.

Perfect Jacket For Around Town

5

The Whitefish is a great around town jacket. It has all the style and it's not overly bulky. When I asked someones opinion about how it looked they said, "It looks really form fitting." I have to admit it is a tighter fit then most down jackets which makes it perfect for around town. You don't have to worry about storing it when you are at dinner of feel like a bull in china shop.

Love this jacket!

I'd say the fit is a touch slimmer than some other OR gear but it's actually perfect. Good length in the sleeves, very comfortable.

Great!

Love the coat and really surprised how warm the hoodie is! Only things I would change is that it needs deeper pockets, my iphone falls out easily unless I keep the pocket zipped. Also they use metal zippers that your scratches you hands..

Classic jacket style with updated features

5

Exceptional design. This is a fresh update (and replacement) for my old down country jacket. Even though I loved that old jacket, I had no clue what I was missing. The Whitefish has everything: waterproof protection, thick down insulation, a functional cut (you dont feel a draft when reaching up or bending over), and great looks. I could use pockets that actually hold more than my wallet. My cell phone nor my wet notes fit in the chest pockets. This is really really annoying.

A classic

This is one of those coats that will look as good in 20 years as it does today. I like the cut of the coat, it fits more tailored at the waist rather than bulky and boxy. The fabric and closures are high quality and it feels good on. I like it so much that I bought two different colors. Nicely done OR!

Best jacket I've ever had

5

This is a great Jacket -- extremely warm (in fact, I really can't wear it with a sweater or underlayer unless it's well below 30 degrees F outside- the jacket is incredibly warm). I am 5'8" with short 30" arms and a wide shoulders but the Large still fits me quite nicely. It also looks fantastic -- especially without the hood, which is detachable. I've had it since last winter and it's held up well (I don't use it for extreme sports) and is by far the best winter jacket I've ever had.

Glad I bought this and not a more technical jacket

5

I am really glad I bought this jacket. I was looking at some more technical jackets but wanted something that did not require so much layering and that I could wear all around and not worry about ripping the shell. The 700 down at 150g is a great warmth to weight ratio. It Is a stylish jacket that can be worn in many situations and can take some abuse. You can wear from 50 down to 32 with just a t-shirt under, so you could go colder for sure. I don't find it restricting in any way when wearing it. If you're looking for a jacket that looks great, will hold up, stop the wind, repel the water and keep you warm this is the one.
