RATING AND REVIEWS

Love this jacket

So far, I love this jacket! It's super lightweight and breathable. Since I've only had it for a few weeks, I can't speak to its long-term durability, but it looks well-made. Most importantly, it's good at keeping me dry!

Packable, light, breathable, I love it!

I love absolutely everything about this jacket. It's so lightweight without making me cold, the color is adorable and it's just easily the best raincoat I've ever had. No issues whatsoever. I would suggest that people with bigger busts measure themselves before buying however, I normally wear a medium and after reviewing the measurements found that a large would fit best. Happy I went with that size. Allows for layering underneath!

Love this jacket

5

I purchased this jacket specifically because I wanted a lightweight rain resistant and reasonably breathable jacket to pack with me to run in the mountains locally and for my summer trip to run the trails around Mont Blanc. XS is a perfect fit (I'm barely 5'3 and weigh 110lb). The hood works nicely and fits well. It is functional with just the right amount of pockets and folds into pocket nicely. And the blue is such a lovely shade - bonus. this jacket is functional but also looks great.

MUST HAVE! I use this for EVERYTHING!

I am in love with this jacket. It is extremely lightweight and packs down for an extra layer in a backpack. I have brought this along for all of my spring touring missions and it has kept me both warm and dry in rain, hail, and wind. I also wear put it in my mountain bike pack for bike rides and wear it around town! It is soft, comfortable, and fits perfectly. This jacket is my GO TO for any outdoor adventure for spring, summer, and fall!

Lightweight job-getter-doner

This jacket serves as my hard shell layer for backpacking. It's lightweight and compact which is nice for storing in the top pocket of my pack for quick access. It's been perfect to wear over the base layer on those cool morning starts, or if things are getting blustery or just down right cold, there is enough room to wear it over a puffer or soft shell jacket. On our last trip to the top of San Gorgonio, the wind was ripping. This jacket performed well blocking the wind. The cinching yet roomy hood was much appreciated! I do wish it had pit zippers to vent a little bit more, but that's my only critique.

Worth Every Penny

Great jacket. Very light & breathable. I like the single zipper much better than the double zipper on my old Aspire jacket and I don't miss the pit zips from that zipper at all.

Just go ahead and buy it.

This thing is phenomenal. I've been wearing the Aspire and Helium II for the past year, and this shell does double duty. It's clearly superior to the aspire with breathability alone, followed close behind with weight and how flattering the cut is. I'm a 29" waist 39" hips and wear a medium in every OR top so far. The only upside to keeping my helium still is to have folded into itself and keep in my mtb pack. Working for parks and rec, I need my kit to walk a fine line between flattering enough for biz casual~ish and functional to do my job well. So far this shell has saved my butt (with that drop tail, hayyy) from biting wind setting up a cycling workshop and falling in 8" of snow trying to run the hound I'm sitting for a friend. Flakes bead up and roll off like water on a duck and I can't wait for it to rain now! Haha

"Lightweight durability" isn't an oxymoron, anymore

I've been using the Interstellar in miserably wet weather for a month now, but I finally took it on its real test - a mountaineering expedition up Cotopaxi. I'll admit, I didn't believe that such a lightweight shell could hold up against high altitude mountain conditions, but this jacket outperformed every expectation I had. We withstood sideways freezing rain that left my gear coated in ice and my backpack buckles frozen and broken into pieces, but I remained warm and dry in the Interstellar. The best part: on the descent in the baking sun, this piece breathed so well that I wore it as a light windbreaker without getting overheated. Can't wait to see what new adventures I can take it on!

Most comfortable shell ever!

5

The lightest, most comfortable shell I have ever worn. Kept me dry but never too hot in many wet and snowy days touring in the mountains. The fit is fantastic, great length body and sleeves, room to fit over layers but not too roomy. This fabric is so light you have to try it on and you will be in love.
