Lightweight wind shirt

Super lightweight windshirt, I really like it. it can rolled into the backpocket easily, comes with a loop and can hang to the pack etc. Durability is questionable, again, this is lightweight windshirt and nothing beyond. Sizing on OR's military line is definitely smaller side, and I had to go a size up to fit in. Go with your casual t-shirt size if in doubt. Color is perfect, I got the MAS gray and works in many environment, and doesn't scream tacticool.

Great Lightweight Windbreaker

This jacket is great for Texas, in the winter you can put a layer under it and be perfectly comfortable and in the summer I wear it with just a t-shirt under it in the field. It keeps out the rain but is still cooler and more breathable than the Army blouse. This is the perfect field jacket for hot summers and windy winters. The jacket is extremely thin and can easily fold into a cargo pocket without being too bulky. If you tear jackets up than this is not the jacket for you, but if you are in/out of vehicles a lot or have a leyer of body armor on over it, it is perfect.

Initial Review

Was really looking forward to this jacket and was a little disappointed when I received it. I understood it was made of nylon but thought it would be a little thicker than it was. The material is very thin piece of fabric where you can almost see through it when its held up to the light. It also runs small. I normally wear a large (5'11" 170) and this is tight and short. Have not had a chance to wear it in the field yet, but I imagine it will keep the wind off of you a little and keep you a little dry. Hopefully it will wow me when I get a chance to wear it.

No. It is not a jacket but a windbreaker at best. Overpriced

Very lightweight. Overpriced for what it is. It does pack into itself well.

Overall Great Jacket For It's Intended Use

Overall love the jacket. Purchased mainly for backpacking. Couple times a month I find my self on a ridge somewhere, and a breathable Wind Jacket is always with me. This jacket does great at cutting the wind. Releases plenty of body heat to keep from over heating. As far as moisture, it performs well in a misty mountain morning type moisture, but much more then that the water seems to soak in pretty quick. Drys really fast. Fit is trim, I'm 5'9", 165lbs, and the Medium is perfect for me. Any larger I'd of gotten a Large. Durability is in question though. Went on a 20 mile hike in fair weather, and pilling has already begun under my left armpit. Any longer of a hike it looks like a hole would have formed. And that was the first time I used the jacket. We'll see how it holds up.
