RATING AND REVIEWS

Weird fit

1

Extremely weird fit. Inner glove is fine, but when you insert into the shell you can't get your fingertips all the way to the tip of the glove. Not even most of the way which leaves you with floppy fingertips on the glove.

Go to glove when the mountain turns extreme

When your standard glove isn't enough and you're fight cold at over 4000meters, glad to have this to keep my hands moving.

Reliably dry and warm. Use without liners as you warm up. Love these

The warmest gloves I've ever worn!

5

These are the warmest gloves I've ever worn. I'm a woman and probably should have gotten the Small, but I like extra room in case I want to put a fleece layer undernearth (my hands get really, really cold easily). I used these skiing and found myself really warm. The liner it comes with is great on its own too in case you are too warm and want the liner. The gloves are a bit bulky.

Great product for outdoors but not for military use

4

These gloves fit well though they are a little difficult to move fingers in and one of the cords broke after 3 days of use

Plenty warm, weird fit

3

Great well-made gloves and they seem durable. They are the warmest gloves I've ever owned and I've owned a lot of gloves. But, the fit is weird with decreased range of motion for your thumb.

Solid gloves

I work as an outdoor educator in Ontario and spend every day outside. These gloves are my go to gloves when it's colder than -10C out (pretty frequently in the winter), I've worn them in temps down to -25C and have been completely comfortable, and they could easily handle colder. I wear them on the snowmobile while grooming cross country ski trails and have never had issues with the windchill. You will definitely lose some mobility with these gloves in comparison with lighter gloves, but that's the trade off for how warm they are. I followed the size guide and bought a medium & found them to be a great fit. Out of the bag these were a bit stiff but after a day they were broken in & now feel really comfortable. One thing I've noticed is that the velcro that connects the liner to the shell can get a little itchy at times. Overall, great gloves that seem like they'll last a long time.

Great Gloves

Recently wore these spectating a 29 degree football game, and they performed great. Very warm, and durable, they are a bit bulky though. The grip is surprisingly good as well.

Robust & versatile glove.

4

A little bulky feeling with the liner and she'll together. Excellent quality construction.

Very warm!

All of OR's well-insulated gloves feel tight across the palm due to the partial flexion position they are built to (in orthopedics we call this anatomically neutral, not sure the term for clothing). I was worried about how these gloves would work for the alpine scrambles in the Cascades but so far I don't notice any problems. These are thick enough that it requires a little more effort to grip my axe while walking but I can grip 9.2mm rope no problem. The biggest benefit is warmth and after freezing my fingers off up Rainier last spring I am quite happy with these on Adams and a few others this year.

How to measure

Measure around a flat hand at the knuckles,do not include your thumb. Also measure your hand length from the base of your palm to the end of your middle finger. Use the larger of the two measurements to select your glove size.
