Great Jacket

So I am fairly harsh on gear, and waited a couple months to write this review to see if the jacket would hold up. It has, and I am really happy with it. Very rugged, zippers and pockets where they should be, well designed. Sleeves seem a little long, but not so much that they get in my way. As mentioned by another review, the hood is ginormous. I wish they offered a standard hood model, and one for those that needed to utilize helmets. The main zipper on mine is slow to get started and draw up, but that might be a function of design. Also, this is NOT an insulated jacket, but simply a rugged shell to be used as an outer layer.

Runs small through the chest

Jacket keeps rain and wind out. I have a 44 inch chest and own 3 other XL OR jackets in this "fit", so I ordered an XL just like my other jackets. The jacket is roomy around my waist, but is snug like a t-shirt around my chest and because it's a hard shell, there's no stretch, so it limits arm movement. It's worse with any thing other than a base layer. Not exactly what you want when the weather demands a hard shell.

Poor quality, lifetime guarantee not honored

The zipper separated after 4 years. I got a return authorization from OR and returned the jacket, but they refused to send a replacement in the same color. They said that if I wanted the same color, I needed to buy a new jacket from their website at my own expense and they would issue a store credit later that could be used for future purchases. If I bought a jacket at my own expense, they would not issue a credit to my credit card, only give a store credit for future purchase. They've had my defective jacket for several days but said it takes 2-4 weeks to issue a store credit. They have one jacket left in stock in my size and color.

Great jacket so far!

I bought this coat a little over a week ago. The second day after it arrived, it rained, turned to sleet, turned to snow. It definitely kept me warm and dry. I bought it a size larger then I normally wear to be able to layer underneath. Which I have done and it works well, especially since we have had some 10 degree days and more sleet and snow.

I would buy that product again! Good design, good fit!

Use it everyday for work and off shift, still have to test it under heavy and constant rain! So far, extremely satisfied!

Love it!

Purchased this jacket as an alternative to my bulkier ski jacket for everyday wear in Buffalo, NY winters. This is my first experience with a hard shell, and I was initially skeptical that something so light/thin would hold up to frigid cold temperatures and high winds. I am pleasantly surprised it does the job and then some! I am 5'10, 165 lbs. (athletic build), and went with a medium. It fits perfectly, but I'd better stay in shape because there is no room to spare toward the bottom of the jacket. Overall, I highly recommend the Furio for anyone seeking a highly versatile hard shell.

Killer shell

If you just need one jacket this is it. You can later it up and it's perrct

Defective could not get the mismatched zipper open.

Defective could not get the mismatched zipper open. Only a waterproof shell does not even have a liner. Has no insulation.

This product is excellent !

Overall good but I'd change a couple things.

I like the overall design but two things could be better. The pitzips don't zip/unzip easy enough to permit one hand use. I need one hand to zip up, one to hold the bottom from pulling up, and one to keep the zipper straight. I tend to zip and unzip the pits a lot due to my activity levels. Wish they were easier to use with one hand in one motion. Forget using them with gloves. The helmet compatible hood doesn't really work well for me without a helmet. If I draw the adjustment enough the drawstring fits behind my ears causing them to stick out like Dumbo. Ha ha. I wish it had a regular adjustable hood that wasn't compatible with a helmet. I'm not a mountaineer. I'm a professional but helmets aren't needed for my outdoor activities. I love the weight and pocket layout. The fit is exactly as described as well.
