RATING AND REVIEWS

Great product, some odd features

4

Great pant with great features (side zips, lots of pocket, stretchy gore-tex in the right spots). The full side zip on only the right side is a smart feature for the post coffee bathroom run. Some off features are the loose fitting nature of the upper bib in the torso area. This is nice for venting, but it also allows snow to get in. The partial mesh gaiter can let water in on those wet days, but good for venting. Time will tell how durable these are because they are super thin.

Bomber bibs!!

5

Super light...kinda feels like you're wearing nothing at all...nothing at all...nothing at all... But seriously though, the pockets are huge, there a clip in the right pocket for your ski pass on a more than long enough lanyard to be able to pull it out when needed. There's a great pocket right on your belly button that's kept my phone nice and toasty so it doesn't shut down

Wow! Rock solid bibs!

As others have said, an amazing bib that OR has here. Great performance and handles any conditions thrown at it. I've used other bibs and with the new stretch technology in the crotch and back of bib are a game changer. NO MORE BLOWN CROTCHES! Love the bibs but only thing I would recommend would be a rear pocket for us that still like to carry a wallet during apres as well as a zipper at the bottom of the pant cuff. If you have bulky boots, the cuffs can be a little tight fitting over the boots. Love em!

Nice Bibs!

4

Awesome bibs for so many reasons. The stretch is great, super lightweight, and the beacon pocket is perfectly unobtrusive with a good tether. My only complaint is the fit. I'm 6'2" with long legs and I had to buy the XL in order to get the legs long enough. Downside is that the bibs fit huge around the waist like fishing waders instead of athletic fit riding pants... Dear OR, you would crush it if you offered long/tall sizes like that other dead bird brand up North. Can't tell you how many tall friends I hear complain about not being able to find good technical gore tex touring pants/bibs that are actually long enough. Large waist with 34-36 inseam... yes please! Overall awesome product, would recommend.

Amazingly light and strong!!

I was really surprised at how light these pants were. I tried them out on opening weekend in Revelstoke BC. They performed well above expectation. Very breathable for a bib, enormous pockets and nice stretch in key areas made donning boots and strapping in effortless.

All-Time Bibs

5

Awesome Bibs! They fit great, look great and perform. Seem very well built and durable. Not a single complaint! I'm 6' 200 pounds and the large fit great! Plan on using them as my touring pant.

It's like your not wearing bibs

Put these on and the stretch will amaze you. The suspenders dont limit your movements at all. These feel very durable. Only thing I'd like would be a bottom zipper for boot access.

Great Pants

4

I have yet to put these pants through the wringer, but I can already tell they are awesome. I was hoping for something a little more heavy duty at this price point, but I guess that is the sacrifice you make for breathability. These will be a pair of pants (shells) that you need to be cautious with if you plan on keeping them for a long time.

Tantalizingly Close to Perfect

This is a top-shelf piece of equipment: Meticulous attention to detail, top-quality materials, near-flawless fit-and-finish; fantastic quality. It weighs almost nothing, but still feels like you're armor-plated. Now, let's talk about the fit. I'm difficult to fit, and I never find reviews that talk about fit in a way that helps me. I'm a weightlifter, and therefore large in the thighs and butt, and relatively trim in the midsection. I ordered a size "L" to accommodate the junk in the trunk and the ol' quad-zillas, and the bib fit perfectly. The problems come above the waistline. The photo of the model is simply not representative of how the bib fit on me. In the photo, the top part of the bib hugs the midsection of the model in what looks to be an attractive and form-fitting fashion. However, this just isn't borne out in practice. You can see in the actual photo of the gear that there is no inward taper for the waistline or above. On me, this leads to a LOT of excess fabric at the waistline and above, and it looks JUST SHORT of silly on me. (Indeed, in the video of the piece, it looks like the individual talking about the gear is suffering from a milder form of this problem, and he has a puffy tucked inside!) Sure, it has belt loops (and I'll probably have to use them) but one of the nice things about bibs is that you just shouldn't have to wear a belt. I have had several pairs of bibs and pants that have velcro tabs with elastic material to soak up excess fabric, and that would have been wonderful. But, I'll tell you what REALLY would have been cool: More use of that amazing Gore-Tex with Stretch material to pull together the fabric around the midsection. This would have been the best of all possible worlds: The design would not have been cluttered up with velcro tabs, the fit would have been snug and custom, and there would have been expansion room for stuffing two or three mid layers in there. Let's get some love for waspish waists next season, OR!

Pumped OR is finally offering a bib!

Been wanting a pair of bibs from OR for years. Only complaint is I wish they went a bit higher on your chest.

Any timeframe to have the hemisphere bibs back in stock?

Brian

Thanks for reaching out Brian, we will not see a restock of the bibs until late Jan of next year.

Q&A_Admi

Does the men's Hemisphere bib come in a "short" version? Size XL fits my waist, but the inseam is 4" too long

Tim

Tim, unfortunately the hemispheres do not come in a "short" inseam option
