I had bought these originally for the upcoming ice climbing season in the Alberta Rockies. I took these gloves out yesterday during a hunting day and was actually pretty disappointed considering how they're marketed. I was minus 5C to about plus 3C for the day. For the majority of the day my hands were freezing and I was constantly having to play catch up for warming. This is on a day that was dry out. I couldn't imagine using these ice climbing with the humidity and cold. The best way I can describe these gloves is like wearing a technical hardshell jacket and a baselayer. In the fall and spring its possible, but in the deep winter you couldn't do it unless conditions are great. I'm planning to now save these gloves for shoulder season ice climbing and summer mountaineering.
