Best-ever versatile gloves!

Wow!! This gloves really exceeded my expectation. I bought it for up track for ski touring and cross country ski, but ended up using for everything else. I especially love it for ice climbing,. Great grip and generous but not in the way to hold the ice tool kind of insulation, which I have been having tough time to find (usually no insulation and cold, or too much insulation to comfortably handle screws on lead). Just started using it this winter, so I'm curious how long it may last, but I will buy it again when it's beaten.

Good grip and dexterity

These gloves are great for warmer day ice climbing. They offer great grip and dexterity but they wouldn't be my first choice on super cold days. I've used them as cold as -10 celcius and they held up well

Great dexterity

These gloves offer great dexterity while still offering protection from the elements. The inside lining is nice and soft and offer mild insulation. Great if you are out and moving around, your hands won't get too hot and sweaty. The cuff is a good length and will allow you to put over or under your jacket, whichever you prefer. Extremely happy with these gloves!

what i was looking for!

i was looking for a lighter weight longer wrist glove. This is it. Does not feel like it will be the subzero option for me but for standard days in the 20's and 30's where all gloves seems to over heat your hands and soak hopefully this will bridge that gap for me. The thumb seems to be to long for me...but i have that problem with most gloves. Over all exactly what i was looking for. i hate the gap between gloves and the cuffs of jackets and these gloves bridge that gap.

Like them.

I had/ have origanl Very gloves which have more insulation and fit with medium. The super very I fit large. I'd like a bit more insulation and water proofing in the PNW

Beyond what was expected

Product is used for general wear and while cross country skiing. I was unsure at first that they would be warm enough during 15-20 degree days because they were so thin. I tried them out on a ski and brought my old pair just in case. No need to change out. My hands were warm and stayed warm. They have good grip and the fit was snug. No friction issues in my hands. A little damp after 3 hrs. on the trail but my hands never got cold.

Good skiing glove, bad ice climbing glove

This is a great glove for ski touring in colder or wetter conditions, but not nearly warm enough for ice climbing. Very disappointed in these, as I had bought them for ice climbing. It feels mostly like a soft shell with a bit of a fuzzy lining, not an insulated glove.

Go to gloves

Love the fit and dexterity of this glove and it definitely holds up better than the old extra vert gloves. They are not the warmest glove around, but my old extra verts would lose their warmth-ness in one season while these seem to be lasting all season after putting a 100 plus days of BC skiing in them. These are my uphill glove for 15-25 degree F days or my backup glove on warmer spring skis. Much better dexterity than the old extra verts...

poor dexterity

the liner does not associate well with the shell. they feel awesome at first but when needing to undo knots or manage detailed manipulating work the shell quickly moves up and away from the liner adding bulk to finger tips. if the shell could be secured to the liner better they would be awesome!

Are They Super?

Having had many pairs of Verts over the years and being disappointed with the latest design, I thought this would be the answer. In many ways it is. The palms remind me of the old style of the Vert. They are supple with good grip and dexterity. They do not seem as warm. This glove fits me in all my other fingers but the pinkie and I have noticed the same problem in other OR gloves I have tried on. I noticed the seam on the thumb is right on the top. This creates bulk which reduces some of the dexterity and is different than the Verts. I would use the same style of seam on the Verts in these. I would buy these again but make sure that I have one with a long enough pinkie.
