RATING AND REVIEWS

Excellent jacket for hiking and layering or just around town

5

I use this frequently for the cold mornings and at night. This is an easily packable, versatile insulated jacket that does not conform to other styles (a positive). This is extremely functional and a great addition to any wardrobe for the outdoor professional.

Great, comfortable insulated jacket

This is a great insulated jacket. If you have used Primaloft Gold products before, then you know how warm it is. Very lightweight and very packable. Don't know how durable it is yet because I've only been using it for the past month, but I don't see it having any issues. On cool days I just run it un-zipped down the front and it isn't too warm. Would recommend, great value

Warm, but durable?

This jacket is Windproof and water resistant. It is an excellent jacket. If worn as your outer layer in the woods, it will snag on everything and is not durable enough to wear as an outer layer. I have ridden my motorcycle to work with it on and didn't feel the wind though. I highly recommend this jacket as an insulating layer or just to head to the office in cold weather, it would definitely not last in a tactical environment.

My go to Snivel gear.

When I'm out in the field, this is my go to piece of kit. It packs small, and is super warm for the weight.

So far so good

So far so good but too early to tell how it will hold up. It has been a life saver so far on cold days when I need warmth without bulk under my kit. Seems to block the wind and keep you warm without overheating. I'm 6'1 215 and went with the 2xl and could probably go smaller but I'm happy with it.

It feels like a woobie turned jacket.

I bought this hoping I could get away with wearing the Multicam version in uniform. However, with the logos on the right sleeve and chest, and the black inner collar material, I don't think that's going to happen (OR, maybe add some velcro for patches on the next round?). The feel of the collar material isn't my favorite as it has a velvety texture. That's could be just a weird personal preference though. The rest of the jacket material feels like a thin sleeping bag and seems to be more durable than what I initially thought as it did well rubbing on the concrete while working under my car. I especially like the inside and the pockets are lined with the same material as the exterior. Some jackets with the softer fabrics tend to irritate my hands when they get dry during the winter. The jacket is very warm with only a t-shirt underneath and has worked well regulating my temperature anywhere from 25-65 degrees Fahrenheit in damp conditions. When I'm being cheap around the house and not turning the heat on, it's been a great casual jacket, and I've even slept very well in it a few times. Which to me, is the ultimate test of comfortable clothing and everything you could want in a woobie, or now jacket. I'm a thin 5'11" and I would rather wear a size small for a trimmer fit in the chest, but have learned OR tends to short the sleeve and waist lengths, so I went with the medium. It's roomy enough for me to fit a sweater or fleece underneath.

Great piece of kit

Needed a light weight but warm outer shell for duty in North Dakota. Exactly what I was looking for. If you like a little wiggle room order one size up, gets a little tight when adding layers underneath.

Tradecraft Jacket

The good: Its very lightweight, breathable and definitely warm. Construction is solid and attention to detail is greatly appreciated. This item will definitely be used as stand alone as well as part of layering with the Infiltrator Jacket. The bad: Like according to most other reviews, the fit is tight, especially in chest/shoulder area. I will be returning and exchanging it for a large. I wear almost all my tops medium, but this one was too constricting in the chest. I should have listened to other reviewers when ordering. I think all will be nice and dandy with the bigger size.

Tradecraft jacket

I really like the jacket, but the sizing was just off enough to where I had to return. Jacket is a little on the small side, I will reorder once size large is back in stock.
