Excellent quality material

This has become my favorite backpacking jacket. As a guide in Patagonia, it fits the bill as a wind breaker, rain jacket, and breathes incredibly well. The material is comfortable and light, but durable for rock scrambling and bush whacking. I've had it for a year and it still looks great!

Sheer Perfection

This Jacket is amazing! Beautifully waterproof, tough in the field, and built to last. The color is even more vibrant in person(wisteria). This is OR's best waterproof jacket I have ever owned.

Amazeballs.

Everything you could want in a goretex jacket. So light, comfortable, breathable, soft. The fit is incredible. The face fabric isn't as durable as others because of all the amazing features aforementioned. After 3 years of hard use mine is wearing through in rub zones, which is to be expected. I still wear it all the time as a windproof layer, such as backcountry skiing in the winter, and in other situations where the waterproofing isn't as critical.

My main shell

Finally. A waterproof shell that is soft and supple, not at all heavy and works well year round - great for backpacking and for cold winter skiing. I got it in large (5'7", 150) so I can wear a down puffy underneath and it fits perfectly. It is also more breathable than past waterproof shells and even though I run hot, I can wear it skinning uphill without sweating too much. I like the 'tailored' cut which doesn't always work for me but it does in this jacket. I got this last year and my only issue is that the zippers are a little stiff but other than that, I love it!

Very comfortable and definitely waterproof

My favorite thing about this coat is the material. As others have said, it is soft and supple and moves well with your body. This also helps it pack well when you stuff it in a backpack. The lack of pit-zips is definitely a drawback. I have a medium, and it fits very well (5'4" 140 lbs) and has a nice looking cut. However, it is too snug when I try to put a lightweight puffy under it for those times when the precip is kinda snow but super wet. The Aspire raincoat is cut much better to layer underneath.

Quiet Goretex!

I bought this jacket for upcoming ski touring season as I heard that Gore was thinking about canceling this fabric and I wanted something water proof, but quiet. I am happy that they decided to keep it! Because of the crazy weather this season in Colorado, I have worn this jacket constantly. It is lightweight, very breathable, and is quiet like a soft shell. It has been light enough that I am not too hot wearing it. The hood is helmet compatible and covers well. I am 5'9" and 127 pounds and bought a size small in Sangria. The fit is generous for me to layer, but tailored enough to look good over a t shirt. It is more beautiful in life than in the picture because it is a heathered rose color and I get many compliments on it. This fabric is not available in a men's jacket unfortunately as some of my male climbing and skiing partners ask me where they can get one too. I am going to try this jacket as an outer layer for skiing and ice climbing in the winter as I think it will stand up to the elements quite nicely. It is spendy, but so far a great investment.

Feels like cotton, totally waterproof!

This jacket is lightweight, waterproof, and feels and looks great. For a rain jacket, the feel of the exterior fabric is amazing; soft and smooth like cotton but performs as a wind/rain jacket. Mine is a medium and fits true to size with a helmet compatible hood and nice, long sleeves. A simple, no frills design makes this a great piece for alpine climbing, hiking, and backcountry skiing in damp environments; very compressible and so far, very durable. I also really like the grey color with the blue zipper, a nice aesthetic addition!

Great Jacket

This jacket is lightweight yet durable and the noise is minimal. I LOVE the halo hood closure. The hood fits around the head without bunching the fabric and keeps the hood were it should be, on your head! My only two complaints are that there are no pit zips and that the main zipper doesn't have two pulls. I like being able to unzip the bottom for belaying. But the higher pockets are very nice. Yet another great product from OR!

Durable, Breathable Rain Jacket

If youメre looking for a durable, yet breathable rain jacket, the Clairvoyant is a good choice. Itメs rugged enough that you can wear it climbing (including chimneys) yet breathable so you donメt get too sweaty while performing activities. The bicolor zipper adds some neat flair too! Iメm a big fan of pit-to-hip zips, so if I were to make one minor change to this jacket, Iメd add these zips. But the breathability definitely helps.
