I would buy this product again

This product is amazing. The Ferrosi Pants are comfortable, lightweight, and breathable. These pants were amazing from hiking to traveling. I am super happy with them.

Great pants; not really that long

5

Overall, I loved these pants. They are very comfortable and breathable. I ordered the 6 long because the regular version of this pant was ridiculously short. While they are definitely longer, they are not really that long. I am 5'9 and they just barely hit the ground. Luckily that works perfectly for me and my height, but I can't imagine how someone taller could make these work.

Love them!

Super comfortable and light-weight. Great for wet (water resistant-at least while new) and windy conditions (blocks wind surprisingly well). Also love the fact that they don't create static like other polyester fabrics do. I'm 5.6 and 128 lbs. and bough a size 4 long. I tried the regular length but they were too short for me.

Stoked to have more pant options for tall ladies!

4

I received a complimentary pair of these to test for my blog, and was so excited to see Outdoor Research is making pants for taller ladies! I have so much trouble finding hiking pants that are long enough for me. I'm 5'9" tall and have long legs for my height. I'm generally a size 8 across the board, and that was the appropriate size for me. I was concerned at first because even with the long size, the pants hit an inch or so above the ground. But as I wore them, they stretched a bit, making them sit slightly lower and less tight on my thighs. They fit perfectly by the end of my first hike in them! There's a drawstring that doesn't seem to serve much purpose; it's barely long enough for me to tie, and there are belt loops if they start to sag that I'd be more likely to use. I generally don't like thigh pockets in hiking pants because they're too hard to access when I'm wearing a pack, and whatever I put in them bulges out and pushes against my leg when I'm walking uphill, so I'd rather have small cargo pockets with a zipper. I do like the back zippered pockets, though! Overall, for the price, I'm excited to get more in other colors.

Just Right!

THANK YOU for finally for making these with a long inseam! I have difficulty finding quality pants with a long inseam...the length on these is perfect (I usually wear a 33 1/2" inseam). These are extremely comfortable and very lightweight. I've not been able to test their durability as of yet, but so far they perform well on hikes and are dressy enough for casual wear or travel. Very comfortable and will be perfect for the hot desert summers. The adjustable hem has already proven quite useful as well.

Love these pants!

5

Love these pants. They are lightweight and super flexible! I've bought so many rock climbing specific pants but they are always constricting when I need to high step but these do the trick! They are also great for hiking in warmer and humid weather (I'm located in Hawaii) when you need the leg protection. I'm 5'8 and the regular pants hit above my ankles. The longs are great, I just wish they would come in more colors!

Best Hiking Trekking Pants!

5

Outdoor Research has won me over with these pants! I've likely worn these pants more than anyone should. Earlier this spring, I wore them for 27 days straight while trekking in the remote Tsum Valley of the Manalu Circuit. I was very happy that these were the only pants I packed for the trip. All summer long I wore them backpacking in the Cimmarons, camping, hiking 14ers, wallowing through rough terrain of willows and unplanned bushwacking, and on three rock climbing trips. The fabric is very durable and resistant to what I've put them through. The fit is ideal. They roll up easily for river crossings. They are comfortable in both high temps and chillier weather. The Ferrosi have become my go-to pair of pants.

I LOVE THESE PANTS!!!

5

I love these pants, they are a bit big for a size 4, but by no means too big. I thought they felt a little delicate at first but I have put these pants through the ringer so far and they are holding up really well. They are so comfy with the fleece at the waistband but still very breathable in the heat while being good at blocking the chilling wind. I didn't think I'd like the elastic at the pant cuffs but I have been such a fan of how convertible they are to adapt to temperature changes during your adventure. (The elastic is also very helpful for biking to keep the pants out of the chain. )

Best desert backpacking pant

5

I just spend 26 days in Death Valley National Park leading a backpacking course for teenagers. I brought one pair of pants with me and it was the Ferris Pant in gray. What a well thought out and well constructed pant. I lead a lot of backpacking trips and struggle with finding a comfortable, durable, and good fitting pant. No more searching! This is it. Features I appreciated: -The microfiber lining at the waistband for seamless comfort under a backpack hip belt. -The side leg pocket that was big enough for my phone. -The length of the inseam was spot on for someone who is 5'8" -The lightweight nature of the fabric was very breathable even in 100 deg heat. The only signs of wear on the pant was a back pocket seam that wore out and slight pilling. Other than that, the pants stood up to the constant onslaught of spiky plants, spilled food and dust. Please make this pant in more colors! I would love to see a chocolate brown or olive green.

Finally a great LONG tech pant!

These are great, lightweight technical pants. The long size is great for a 34" inseam. I wish they were available in more colors. The fabric is lightweight and great for desert adventures but does get beaten up quicker than I'd like. I own both colors and bought the Ferosi knicker because I like their functionality. Fit is true to size.
