RATING AND REVIEWS

well on the way to a pair in every color

5

I initially got the zip-off version of these for canoeing, then got a full-length pair in another color, then got ANOTHER full-length pair in a third color because I just get so much use out of them. I work as a park ranger and I use the green ones as my backcountry uniform pants. The waistband design makes them super comfortable when paddling or wearing a backpack for hours on end, and they dry out super quick after you've sweated through them or went for an unintentional swim. I'm 5'6" and got the regular length size 14's and they're just a liiiiiiittle too long, but the elastic cuff helps with that.

Love, but the pilling is an issue

After one 2 day trip I noticed pilling on the seat area and front of quads. I love these pants already, but they look like they have had years of use.

If I could make any change, it would be to design the pockets to be like the Trailbreaker design

Great product; will be buying more soon!

I use this product several times a week when I am out in the field for work as an entomologist. I work in tall grass prairies and ticks are a big concern, so I bought these in the lightest color possible and I can immediately see any ticks crawling on me. If you are modest, be aware that these light pants are pretty transparent (don't wear dark or colorful undergarments)! The fabric is light and airy, making hot and humid days much more bearable. I appreciate that three of the five pockets are zippered. I usually carry dozens of small vials with me in the field, as well as my phone and car keys, and I can fit everything pretty well! For the casual camper/hiker, I think the pocket situation is probably perfect, though I would love another mid-thigh pocket for field gear. I'm 5'6'' and found these to be just the teensiest bit short when wearing sandals/ running shoes. All in all, an AWESOME and comfy product.

Wish the green color came in long length

3

I really like my long length Ferrosi pants, but they only come in grey and black. I decided to try the regular length (this pair) since they came in a green color and I can wear them with my uniform. They are, as expected, a bit too short but Im going to keep them anyway. I like the zippered pockets, but wish the thigh pocket was horizontal like the knee-length Ferrosi shorts. Sturdy belt loops and relaxed (not tight) fit wearing to work.

Great for climbing

5

These pants are my uniform for guiding but I love them so much I bought more so as to not ruin my uniform. I like them because they are loose enough that I can fit running shorts under them. They stretch really well and don't get torn easily climbing limestone. They look nice if you have to go to a restaurant in them. They are very breathable and I never overheat in them.

How's the stretch? Looking for a rock climbing pant.

Kel

Hi Kel, These pants have a good amount of stretch, I use them for various activities. I'd say they would be great for rock climbing as they are lightweight and breathable. Thanks for contacting OR, Paul

Could you please tell me the difference in color between "pewter" and "shade"? I love these pants--they are the best!!!

Heather

Hi Heather, The Pewter is a rich shade of gray. The Shade is more like a blue-gray. I think the best representation of the color would be the Van Courtland Blue/HC-145 paint color from Benjamin Moore. Thanks for contacting OR, Paul

Is the crotch gusseted? And if so, how big is the gusset? I.e. is it rectangular, or oval shaped?

LISL

Hi LISL, the Women's Ferrosi Pants do not feature a gusseted crotch. Cheers!

How does the drawstring cuff on the women's Ferrosi pant work or stay tight? Can the pant convert to a capri style with the drawstring cuff?

Kelly

There is a spring-loaded cord lock that maintains tension on the cord. You could cinch the drawcord and roll up the cuff for more of a capris style.
