If you’ve reached this page, you may be thinking that your gear has a defect in materials, workmanship, or other failure – and we’re sorry about that. Let’s get your gear back on track so you can get back outside.

Outdoor Research® products are built with only the highest quality standards, rigorously tested, and with your total satisfaction as our goal. We want to see our customers use our gear to its full potential, which will include natural weathering from outdoor environments. Because of this, we do not accept warranties for this type of normal wear and tear, or for products that have been handled against their intended use, involved in accidents, defaced, or sold from non-authorized dealers. Our warranty does not cover user-created damages like rips, tears, burns, or holes. To lengthen the life of your gear, our customer service team is happy to send you some tenacious tape patches. Note that patches can only be sent to a US or CA address.

Note: Products with SMS tags, or that have tags marked with an X, are not valid for warranty.

FILE A WARRANTY CLAIM

Response times for warranty claims are currently taking 3 - 4 weeks. Thank you for your patience, we will respond to you as quickly as we can.

Please include these important details within your email for a quicker response time:

1. Your information:

  • Name (First and Last)
  • Address (Including City, State, Zip)
  • Phone
  • Email
2. Product information:
  • Product name (Echo, Helium, Jacket, Pats, Hat, Storage, etc)
  • Product Color (Red, Green, etc)
  • Product Size (Small, Medium, etc)
  • Approximate purchase date (2019, Winter 2020, etc)
3. Briefly describe your warranty issue:
  • Zipper won't work, etc.
  • Attach an appropriate image of the issue to help process your warranty quicker.
  • Send us the numbers on the tag (specific to each style).
    Please look for a tag on the item that looks something like this: F13, 56042, or V002
    **The RN/CA numbers are not what we are looking for.
