Outdoor Research® products are built with only the highest quality standards, rigorously tested, and with your total satisfaction as our goal. We want to see our customers use our gear to its full potential, which will include natural weathering from outdoor environments. 

Please note we do not accept consumer warranties for any of the following:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Products that have been handled against their intended use, involved in accidents, or defaced.
  • Products purchased from non-authorized dealers.
  • User-created damage like rips, tears, burns, holes, or stains. 
  • Products with SMS tags, or that have tags marked with an X.
  • Products that have been altered by embroidery, patches, or any other 3rd party embellishments or alterations.
  • Lost, stolen, or discarded product.
  • Online purchase from outdoorresearch.com within the last 60 days.

FILE A WARRANTY CLAIM

Response times for warranty claims are currently within 4 business weeks.

We offer two resolutions for approved claims, a direct replacement if available from our current stock, or, if your warranty item is no longer available due to discontinuation or lack of stock, we will issue you a warranty credit to utilize towards other available gear on our website.

Please include the following within your email to warranty@outdoorresearch.com. Note that we will not respond to, or complete any claims that do not include the required information below to start the claim process:

1. Your information:

  • Name (First and Last)
  • Full Shipping Address (Including City, State/Province, Zip) (US and Canada only)
  • Phone
  • Email (if you have an OR account, please use that email herein, this cannot be changed)

2. Product information

  • Product Name
  • Product Color
  • Product Size
  • Approximate purchase date (2019, Winter 2020, etc)
  • Send us the numbers on the tag (specific to each style).*
    Please look for a tag on the item that has something like the tag below:

*Tags vary slightly in style and over different seasons. if no tag is present, please send along pictures highlighting any branding as well as pics of item laid out flat for identification. **The RN/CA numbers are not what we are looking for.

3. Briefly describe your warranty issue:

  • Zipper won't work, seam delamination, component issue, etc.
  • Attach an appropriate image of the issue as well as an image of the item laid out flat.

***Please Note: Warranty claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to refuse a warranty claim at any time.***
