Fin Melville Ives

Fin Melville Ives grew up in Wānaka at the center of New Zealand’s freeski scene, where high-level skiing was the standard from an early age. He made his World Cup debut in 2022 and quickly progressed to the top tier of the sport, earning two World Cup wins in early 2025 before qualifying first and winning the FIS World Championship title in halfpipe in St. Moritz.

That rapid rise marked his transition from junior standout to world champion in a single season. Part of a new generation of New Zealand freeskiers, Fin brings momentum both on and off snow as one of the most closely watched athletes in the field.
