Malou Peterson

Malou Peterson grew up in Åre, Sweden, where skiing became part of her life almost as soon as she could walk. She explored the full spectrum of competition—alpine racing, ski cross, and big air—before realizing she was drawn less to results and more to the freedom of the mountains. A move to Chamonix deepened that connection, shifting her focus toward backcountry skiing, long tours, and steep, consequential terrain.

After recovering from a long injury, Malou committed fully to adventure-driven skiing, spending winters in Revelstoke and traveling to places like Greenland and Iceland in search of exciting new lines. Now based in San Diego, she balances time between ocean and mountains while continuing to pursue winter missions around the world. Through skiing, film, and photography, she shares a thoughtful, expressive approach to movement and hopes to encourage more women to move confidently through wild places.
