He then studied Finance at the State University in Cedar City, Utah. In the five years he spent in Southwestern Utah, Nate spent every free moment exploring the big walls and desert-alpine peaks of Zion National Park. With the collapse of the financial markets in 1999-2000, Nate decided to move to Jackson Hole to continue building and pursue his love for skiing and alpinism. After thirteen years of living in Jackson, Nate is happily married, soon to be a father, a successful residential-general contractor and dawn patrol/weekend warrior of the mountains. ​
